Final overall table:

2026 Team Tipster Champions are…....Tips Out For The Lads

Congratulations Tips Out For The Lads, victors once again!Grin
CagliariG turned in a captain's performance to lead his team to 2 round wins and 3 runner-up spots.
Each Way Thieves take 2nd place, after 1 win and 3 2nd places, great teamwork!
The Shrewdies needed the win in this last round to have any chance, still, 3rd overall with 1 round win is nothing to crab at, well done guys.
Racing Demons finish 4th, very consistently up there but never quite enough to win, once runners-up and 4 3rd places.
Cleeve Hill Mob actually won 2 rounds, including this last one, but the in-between was lacking.
Humbugs had their moment of glory, while Lucky Pins, last year's champions, had a year to forget.

Well Congratulations to the E.W. Thieves Team take a bow & a pat on the back for a Great Second spot

Maybe like me  when we entered the competition again several months ago
we felt a bit obliged as much as filled with optimism that we still had the potential & with a fair wind things could, go really well, we could actually WIN
It turns out we just fell short of our DREAM and we ended up a gallant praiseworthy second
So Congratulations and like most roller coaster rides I am sure we had a few thrills during the ride

A special mention to Foxy being our top scorer & most consistent player for keeping our spirits up, but it is a Team game and everybody chips in often at the most critical times which really keeps us ticking over
Its the taking part that matters .... Well done to all Love

Extra special thanks to Undecided & other teams for supporting the comp

I have to admit that I am getting too old and not operating at the same level I was used to, I am only using it to fight off dementia, not sure its working,
missed out posting my big hcp selections when it mattered yesterday
I put things  in Trackers but cant remember why ..... Lol

Enjoy your Success & Summer  Cool.....Many Thanks

I may well post in here on the odd Saturdays with my value bet...feel free to use it Wink

Well done stewpot and team, a fine effort. Stew I can relate to age and memory loss, I had to re-learn a lot after my mini stroke, half my memory was wiped out. My specialists urged me to keep using the Forum to keep my mind active when I explained I did not use social media. It certainly helped over the years, especially this competition although one of the team I chased up turned out not to have been in our team at all.lol

Hope to see you and all the others for the next one and hope you win your fight.

Morning Thieves, and congratulations for reaching 2nd place while carrying me the whole way.One small score in 16 bullets was a shocker. I'm afraid my enthusiasm to participate was not matched by ability to pick winners for the team!! Its been tough for me but thats a massive plus for all your efforts to get the team into 2nd!

Cheers to you Stewpot for guiding the ship through yet another competition with your leadership. It really does keep the juices flowing whether successful or not. Special congratulations to admirably consistent Foxy, our top gunner whose efforts greatly helped the team into a challenging position.

As always Thieves, Onwards and Upwards Cool

Well done everyone, a great effort all round. Great work as always stewpot, nicely assisted by dessie.

Always enjoy these team comps, would have liked to contribute a few more points, not my best effort.

Hopefully we can do it all again Cool

A very enjoyable comp and we did really well bit disappointed with my contribution but that’s racing ,thanks captain for all the effort you put in and thanks to the team for undoubtedly trying there very best ,it’s quite amazing how hard you try with this comp as it’s just one bet a week I know it’s fun but in the real world you back a loser and move on to the next bet,yet crazy as it seems it hurts more when one runs bad for the team ,the division comps are not really for me I’ll see the year out but then retire ,however I do look forward to us all getting back together again if undecided is kind enough to do another one, again thanks stewpot and thanks team enjoy the rest of the summer’s racing if it’s just half as good as last week we’re in for a treat ,I honestly believe the last 5 days were the best racing I’ve ever seen .

Morning guys
many thanks for those words of encouragement, and an amazing amount of support for a future fixture
I must apologise for missing out Dessie on his support as Deputy who has saved a number of selections from ending up on the cutting room floor. He like others shows our honesty in knowing how much better things could have been.
That Team determination results in a very draining comp and needs a break to help us forget how tough it is.
It is very refreshing to see how much you all enjoy that pressure ConfusedMischief
It must be just me who is a little more laid back come every new week
Breathe & Relax LaughCool
Good Fortune to all

jimnast that was quite a statement given how many years you have been going
What do you think made it that good, tight finishes, or championship horses showing their class, or atmosphere
or just the weather Cool,
I did agree with your comments

I was a bit disappointed very few man in the street owned winners
Far too many very wealthy owned or bought winners (probably always was & will be)
Still I suppose the money for those wealthy purchases guaranteed that quite a few financially are lot better off

BHA Handicapper & stewards got to get to grips with these long term plots
& give them 10lb extra early on until they have been ridden hard (given every chance???) in three / four races

Its getting embarrasing ... winners suddenly scooting in in top class handicaps
trainer saying mmmm maybe hes a Group horse (overnight) now ???

Apologies for the moan, is it just me ?

Hello stewpot

The all round organisation at royal Ascot is always superb this year seemed even better, the strength of the racing was outstanding and races like the st James palace and the gold cup produced two of the best finishes I’ve ever seen at Ascot ,the jubilee wasn’t to bad a finish either, the handicaps on the round course I’m sure will prove exceptionally strong races ,Wednesday usually the weakest day produced a very good winner of the Duke of Cambridge and in ombudsman we so a superstar over 10 furlongs ,bacio could be anything hopefully we will both see the horse in the Nunthorpe,as ever hard to be sure about the 2 yo races bit early in season,I genuinely also think people enjoyed the occasion even more this year as it gave them a week to forget about all the nonsense that’s going on in the world and in the uk,and of course we had the weather time goes quickly enough so I’m not going to say we can’t wait for next year but we can’t.

Good evening Stewpot. Would just like to say thanks to you and all the team members for giving it a good go this year and failing narrowly.
If the comp. is on next year and if selected I'm not going to wait till the last day (often the most difficult) to make my contribution.I have a bit more time most weekdays.
Thanks also again to UD don't know how you goys do it.
Jimnast, If you go to Ayr for the September meeting remember to let me know although I'll give Gold Cup day a miss.
I'll get that Lanark post code to you soon.
Thanks again everyone.Happy

Curiosity got the better of me Wink
The Lanark racecourse post code is ML11 9GA just off the A73

If you get the chance buy a book called A Long Time Gone - by Chris Pitt  used to be £19.95
Amazon has one for £49
A brilliant read on old / closed racecourses
As an example it gives 9 pages to Lanark racecourse

Big Gossey pays for it ..... Laugh

Thanks captain I was aware of that book don’t really know why I never bought it as racecourses  past and present are something I’m really interested in,

Didn’t back big gossey thought his was priced right however that didn’t stop foxy backing him I’m glad I’m not an in running punter as I would have been pressing the wrong button for most of the race ,can’t understand why they have never given him a run at Ascot or York to give the owners a special day out.
