Not that it makes any difference but Kirriemuir feels a bit aggrieved. He had no intention of posting on an earlier thread, but realised that if one could the whole lot could and he would be left with 20-1 shots. However he says thank you generally for your settling, but hopes not to see you again anytime soon.

salmon spray, I'm sure it was not intentional but it's not a good look for me not to make that invalid. It was announced yesterday afternoon that there would be an inspection, suggesting the course was in danger. I think in those circumstances those races should be avoided.

Anyway ...

Big well done to Colonel Custard grabbing the Championship with the day's only winner, a 6/4 and a hat-trick score.  So the last day echoes the theme of the entire month - the final of a string of new leaders! It was certainly interesting.

That's in part because things have been so tight through the month, meaning quite modest scores change the picture. In fact only one of the top five hit a winner bigger than single figures and our Colonel wasn't that person. Instead, small but often was his route to the top, leaving him with the highest strike rate of 54%. CoolCoolCool Cool

Bounced down to second was Kirriemiur, with a similar pattern of winners and the second-highest strike rate of 53%. CoolCool

I was particularly impressed by the way adamanty battled his way up the table to grab third,  a mid-month 6/1 the highlight. Cool

Well done too to Levy in fourth, winless for the last fortnight after hitting a fantastic 16/1 mid-month, Grin  and MOB in fifth, a 13/2 his top mark. Happy

A pretty low-scoring month, the champion's bank just over £2 and only two others in profit. It's tough out there. Hard luck to everyone else, especially those who hit some bangeroonis (stablemates Belyavsky and Tempel with 14/1s and lmlac and raspberrybottom with 10/1s).

Here's looking to February and thanks for your messages. Excited

I think you'll find it is Reged who is out of step with the other 3 settlers ( and all precedent imo ).
