DIVISION 1 FRIDAY 2nd JANUARY

Good starts for Poppydog (3/1), madhatter(2/1) and Reged (6/4).
Poppydog was a bit unlucky to miss out on promotion on the final day so it's nice to see that good start.
madhatter said in his post that he was changing strategy in 2026 - the winner was in a chase but it wasn't his beloved handicap chase, it was a Grade 3 so maybe that's the change - no handicaps.
I notice that Reged is starting to find winners in the 10/11 to 2/1 range as per today.

Plenty of odds-on winners JRAS, Moose, posy, look - it's snowing , Sir Rembrandt, Rambling Bear, rob22 and salmon spray, also made good starts.

Draw1 - you selected from an abandoned meeting but, as your selection was made 27 minutes before the official notice of the abandonment, that was fine. There is no rule that asks a napster to re-select in the case of an abandoned meeting or non-runner although that option is of course available. There is a grey area here if the selection is made shortly after the official time of the abandonment but that doesn't apply here - I only mention it to give napsters my thoughts on some of the rules.

Fakenham officials had scheduled a check for 7.30am but a decision was made early with the track not fit for racing following freezing temperatures.


I take this to mean that the decision to abandon was taken early this morning.
