******* MADHATTER *******

*** 2024 / 25 AW Champion Tipster ***

A new name on the trophy, and very well done to madhatter, who led from about week 2 to week 7, and then having slipped a little way off the pace as last year's runaway champion lux threatened to break clear again, stayed focused and disciplined to get back to the top spot around week 17, and from therein didn't relinquish the lead.

I'm glad Billposter has won this competition before, as it would be a travesty if he hadn't given the number of times he's gone close in recent years, and once again, he came from off the pace to be a serious challenger, reducing the deficit to under 14 points on the final day.

I finish in third place.

A great effort from FatPunt to finish fourth and score over 700 points.

Last season's emphatic champion lux has to settle for 5th place this time around, but did post what was just about the most magnificent feat in tipping history on the night he virtually went through a competitive 9-race card at Wolverhampton. Alas, lux wasn't a millionaire at the end of it, but a flash of brilliance nonetheless!

The competition was very competitive throughout with several of us still in with a squeak until well into proceedings, so thanks to everyone for taking part and ensuring the competition remained competitive right until the very end.
