PREMIER DIVISION SATURDAY 31st AUGUST (Final day rules apply)

Final day of the month tomorrow so last day rules in force.....

- All selections must be made prior to the 1st race of the day which is 1.30 (1hr rule still applies).
- No duplicate selections allowed.
- No reserves or unnamed horses allowed.
- No 'Rest Day' allowance: those who don't post will automatically lose a point.
- Once posted, a selection may only be changed if it becomes a non-runner and as long as the above rules are still met.

Best performance of the day was youresomean chalking up a 7/2 win.

Runner up was suffolkpunch who advances 6 places into 18th bagging a 5/2 winner.

Then we have Anzio with a 15/8 success and halcyon days delivering a 13/8 shot.

Just missing out was pcgoody with a decent price effort.

Well done all winners. Good luck tomorrow.

Unfortunately soldieroffortune's winning run came to an end today. Even though they were all short prices, I calculate the probability to be 1 in 2000 of those 20 all winning (assuming a 15% overround to true prices). Hard luck to him, but a winner tomorrow will still see him top UD's winning percentage table.

Thank you Imlac for all your kind words of encouragement over the daily threads, they are very much appreciated.

Sad to see the run come to an end, but I’m convinced more than ever that a 100% winning percentage month is possible.

Thanks Imlac for all your hard work in all your settling duties this month.
I must admit I do not agree with the statement that 100% winning percentage is achievable. While clearly potentially it is possible, I am convinced that it will never be achieved.
I am prepared to give a donation of £5,000 to the Injured Jockeys Fund for anyone who achieves this either in this year or in 2025, with the stipulation that there must be selections for each day apart from Sundays and thus a minimum of between 24 and 27 selections depending on the month involved.
