Bit of an uncharacteristic flurry of winners today, one of them decisive. It sure has been a lean month, with bonkeroonis as rare as swallows in winter, as the final totals attest. First off, hats off to newcomer Kirrriemuir, our final champion of 2023, who finished with an odds-on flourish to also bag the top strike rate title with almost 46%.  A big well done too to Steve Voltage, with today's biggest winner, Billy Lee Swagger at a plumpatious 15/2, edging him up to second. He's been winless for more than a week after steadily banging them in before. Another newcomer making it upstairs is cobs101, who finished with a 5/4 today to nudge up to third, a 5/1 his standout score. Despite not posting today Value-Seeker clung on to a promo place, finishing in fourth with just two strikes to his name. One was a 14/1 early on ... that'll be it!  And he is followed by a last-day entrant in fifth, The Sawyer, who bagged Miss Moonshine at 4/1 to sneak into fifth.  Today's hard luck story is another newcomer, persian war, who sneaked into fifth only yesterday but couldn't follow up with a winner today to cling on. And finally, a shout out to hulk23, who ended the year up to seventh with Lady Bluebird at a hunky 6/1. A big thank-you to everyone for taking part. It's not been a great month but it needed all your input to make it a competition. I hope you all return for another bumpy ride in the New Year. Goodness knows, with the numbers falling away, we need you!
