FLAT BIG RACE COMP 2023 - Final Table

Winner...........dunter1
Struth! Congratulations, the first player ever to win back to back Flat Big Race competitions, some feat!
20 scores, got off to a flying start with the Lincoln winner, Migration, then Royal Hunt Cup winner Jimi Hendrix, and a rare 2pt stormer in the penultimate race, 40/1 2nd Ropey Guest.

runner-up...undecided
Had a big lead after a Wokingham 1-2, and Ascot Sprint winner The Big Board, then blew it, but I'm chuffed to finish 2nd.

3rd...Sing when ur winning
A best finishing position since runner-up in 2015, missed a few races but banged in some great scores, notably the 18/1 King George V winner Desert Hero, plus Old Borough Cup 50/1 3rd Enemy & Cesarewitch winner The Shunter.

4th...THE MUFF FUFFLER
Runner-up last year, had the Plate winner, Calling The Wind, as well as Golden Mile winner Johan and Challenge Cup winner Atrium, both 25/1. Finishing with a flourish with today's winner.

5th...DeSSieReborn
Another to miss a few races but boy does he bang a few in, a massive score with 25/1 Atrium in the Challenge Cup, today's 100/1 4th (3rd and it would have given DeSSie the overall) and the 25/1 Royal Hunt Cup 2nd the picks.

6th...bluenose7
Best effort so far in the Flat version, hit a sweet patch in the summer with the Plate winner, Old Newton Cup winner and Ascot Sprint 2nd.

7th...tictacman1
Relatively new to the comp and a first top ten finish to go with one in the NH last time, got the 20/1 Cambridgeshire winner, Astro King, and Northumberland Plate winner, Calling The Wind.

8th...Hilly
Last year 9th, previous year 3rd, so great consistency. Will be looking forward to do a dunter1 in the NH comp after winning it last time. The Golden Mile winner scored best.

9th...madhatter
A 3rd top ten berth, brilliant 25/1 pick, The Gatekeeper winning the Balmoral.

10th...Trusty
The Big Race comp master gets a 7th top ten here, to go with 4 in the NH. Got today's 100/1 4th and had 16/1 Baradar in the International.

Lol stewpot, it would have been a cracking finish for me, but the person who was robbed is Undecided who sat there being shot at for so long.  Dunter a fantastic double by you.......can you get the treble in the NH Comp???

Congratulations to dunter for repeating his victory of last year,very impressive scoring 791 points in the last 4 races and thus overtaking undecided who looked home and hosed at one point but his 4 points in these races was not enough. Whilst being completely impartial I suspect that the majority on here would have been hoping that undecided would win because of the amout of effort he puts in to running this and all the other competitions but it was not to be. Impressive efforts by all the top 6 achieving totals of over 2000 points.No time for rest now as the NH competition will be starting next Saturday.
