DIVISION 3 SUNDAY OCTOBER 8 (optional)

I wonder if cobs101 was ever, or indeed possibly still is, a pugilist of some description? He does seem to have a penchant for going toe-to-toe with his rivals. Today is the second in three that he's taken on a fabled veteran of the Div Comp by banging in a belter of a 12/1 winner, Award Dancer  in this case.   Maybe after it romped home he was dreaming of finally sitting on the summit, master of all he surveys. I say finally - the guy's only been in the competition five minutes!

Unfortunately for our hero, there was a problem. This time the veteran he was up against was raspberrybottom, who knows a thing or two about horses and had an ace up his sleeve, or more to the point a runner by the name of Wadacre Grace, which later came home at a sizzling 9/1 to keep good old raspybum on top and cobsy still in second.   Bwilyant stuff nevertheless, from both of our leaders. Keep it up guys.

In other news, our conflicting couple have been joined by barstool, who followed yesterday's winner with an 11/4 to nip into third.   And finally, an odds-on lifted happysandwich to 12th.
