Updated for Celeric's selection on duplicate thread. Apologies for that. Must have inadvertently double clicked on submit.
And two days running that 2/11 falls over the line.
The problem is you could have a 10/1 beaten a short head and you get closed on by someone putting up odds on shots. A good effort gets you nothing.
As I said I hate doing it, but this week I am not intending to throw away places to those who have just been putting up odds on shots for virtually the whole month.
To a certain extent I could understand when the meetings are all rubbish (I don't even want to look at them), but loads were sticking up long odds on shots at the Newmarket July meeting so it isn't a class thing.

Why don’t you go off and create your own competition, run by you, where no odds on selections are allowed, and you could even dictate which horses competitors are allowed to choose from in a selection of races to be decided on by you every day.
This I’m sure would give you so much more joy than the current competition, in which every single competitor has the freedom to choose whichever horse he or she wishes to in any race on any given day.
In the meantime, your regular whining on the Prem thread is, I’m sure, routinely ignored.

Obviously, it isn't ignored, hence your comment. And the reason for your comment? The truth hurts doesn't it? You are the prime example of what I am talking about.
I have only suggested a way in which the division could improve. I appreciate picking three odds on shots a month would be a frightening thought for someone like yourself. It looks like you just pick out the shortest price every day and put that up. There is zero skill in doing that, and consequently, your high strike rate is virtually meaningless.
