Well done again to my old competition skipper - how many rabbits has he got in that hat? I think I said after a month to win you have to flirt with relegation, and while that's true there are other factors that definitely play a part. It's got to be a huge advantage if you follow low grade racing. There's a full month of that every month as opposed to ten, or even less days of good racing. Virtually all the good priced winners are coming from the low grade stuff so if you don't care two hoots about that you have virtually no chance of winning this division.

only go up to 16`s max, then usually a different set of criteria.

I think DD makes a very valid point, the winners in recent months have all come out with big priced winners-some on the last day of the month.
It does make you think about how the comp is organised.
there was a thread sometime a go posted about how it might be re configured and there may well be some thought needed to some of the good ideas that were put forward then.
i may need to give some thought as to how i approach the comp going forward. As DD observes i dont stand much chance of winning it as i generally do not look at long outsiders in races and certainly not in the low grade stuff. or alternatively not to bother as there is not much point participating if you are not within a shout of winning it
