PREMIER DIVISION FINAL TABLE MARCH 2023

So SkyAtlantic does exactly what he needs to come through the pack and take the title with an excellent 10/1 find. That's his 9th title by my count. In fact of the last 35 months he's won the top division 6 times. Fantastic record.

Biggest price of the day was grabbed by Draw1 with a great 20/1 success. Unfortunately it was only enough to get him up to 4th.

Another was Cloughie1 who surges 12 places out of relegation trouble into 16th nailing a 15/2 victory. halcyon days who surges 13 places into 6th came up trumps with a 6/1 shot. la mallatiere had a 15/8 winner. rob22 had an 11/10 score. Some great prices there.

Going close were Imnotmean and Monte Christo with decent price efforts.

Posy huge Congrats to you too on a truly magnificent strike rate! For a long time this month you were at 100% and I think a 100% month in total can definitely be achieved …… clearly not by me, but by one of you many talented guys in this Division.

Imlac without wishing to add to your workload and your calculations at the top of the table, does KM’s retirement not mean that learning stays in the Prem? 5 would leave us including the 4 at the bottom and KM retiring, swifty would send 5 up as normal, and then he’d take 6 up from Div 2 to Div 1 to allow for the fact that KM won’t be competing next month. Apologies if I’ve got that wrong mate.

Brilliant tipping by top 3 enjoyed following it. I'm sure Non Vintage had it, but i'll the organisers check this out. Good month.

I haven't been doing this for very long - less than a year - but is there any point in achieving 100% if you don't challenge the top? I think I was unbeaten for around half a month in the previous division, but in the end felt I was concentrating more on maintaining the record than actually winning the division.

As for the retirement, the way it works is that if someone keeps posting till the end of the month, he gets retired in the month after. So sorry learningthegame, but that's the convention.

The 'convention' is really a necessity because you can't retire someone and include their selection at the same time. To retire, you have to stop posting selections,

Thanks SOF, but without the 20/1 winner I may well have been relegated. At least he was on a roll, won comfortably, and still looks progressive. You can't say that about too many big priced winners.

Early days, but to win I think you almost have to flirt with relegation. It looks as if quite a few are first and foremost trying to retain a place in the division so that makes it pretty difficult if you fall behind, as I did. To make a decent challenge you probably need a couple of big priced winners, or four or five 5/1+ winners. Easier said than done, and I am going to struggle when we go from jumps to flat. Those who concentrate on all weather probably have a bit of an advantage given it is on virtually every day throughout the whole year.
