You know me well captain those are two of my favourite horses along with streets of gold who also runs today,as a young hard nosed punter I didn’t have favourite horses no as somebody who just loves the game I do get attached to them,not backed a winner in 4 days but I’m still loving the occasion,Thursday was great frankie winning the gold cup,the king having a winner and hundreds of Caribbean people celebrating wind rush day dressed immaculately and colourfully  made one of the great royal ascot days ,already looking forward to next year but will need some winners to finance the trip.

G'day all seems to have whizzed by this meeting......in fact it went so fast I missed any charlie appleby 2yo runners? Were there any?

I have got to say if my memory serves me the scoring this season has been the highest ever
We have certainly had a mix of lows & highs, and its always better to finish on that high with thoughts of what might have been
As per usual some of us will feel our contribution was well below our own level of expectation
The important thing is we hung on in there despite not getting the rub of the green
we all know it is always a story of what might have been

Morning fellow Thieves. I must start by congratulating Foxy for her consistency for the whole comp.
Im sure like me some of the older hands feel as if we let the side down. My interest in racing
has declined considerably in recent years. Just checking some old betting records .In 2016 i was  putting bets on between £100 and £200 most days .I would be exaggerating if i bet £200 a month now.
I realize you need to put the time in if you want to turn a profit. I just dont have the interest to put that time in now.  The comp did help revive a little interest at least.

Firstly many thanks for your efforts over the years

my thoughts are also along similar lines, lifes priorities change
Been very difficult hanging on in there for last 5 years
The sport has also changed for the worse, too much emphasis on quantity of meetings
Volume model isnt working no prize money to support it, Yet 100s of races a week less than 8 runners
Bookies running scared of any winning punters, not real bookies as was, now “No Risk” accountants
All working to the same set of figures, just not worth the effort, and our time is becoming invaluable
My total stake for June < £50 never thought I would ever say that, withdrew 90% of all my deposits 5 years ago
Wish you well my friend always welcome back at any stage (if Im still here?)

Shame the way people now feel about the sport but understandable stewpot sums it up very well no risk accountants all working to the same set of figures.

Pathetic really but unfortunately true.

Thanks from both of us stewpot for running the show for the team.
