I wasn't going to launch this until we have a s/d but I see my fellow-Sheffielder has started one for the Lucky Pins and I'm not going to lag behind a blade ( Boo Hiss ).
Obviously we need to be sure we have a full team. I thought we had a nice settled and very reliable 8 last time. As most of you will know however Norfolk has gone awol for over 6 weeks now,which in his case I fear means something is wrong. The other problem which has cropped up is that a certain gentleman who caused some havoc in the penultimate contest has announced his intention to return ( as captain no less
). I am aware that undecided is not inclined to block him,a decision which I support partly on principle,partly because I think it would cause even more problems.
That said I think we have 5 definites whether you know who plays,for another team obviously,or not.

My understanding is that madhatters will play as well albeit under duress. DIFERENT GRAVY 12 seemed to indicate he wouldn't under what have become current circumstances. I hope he will change his mind.
I'm inclined to give both him and Norfolk untill we get an actual s/d. If one or neither of them hasn't said yes I have ONE new recruit lined up (someone well known to at least 3 of you from some years back ) but would need to find another.
Can you all sign in on here please just so I am sure where we stand.

We have another new recruit who,like Pedro,will be known to quite a few of you. Welcome to Jinxy1 ! The situation now is that we definitely have seven with madhatters prepared to play if necessary. At the moment ud is undecided about whether or not teams will be the traditional 8 or will be cut back to 7. Either way we seem to be OK so we don't need any further recruitment. I'm afraid I don't think we can do anything but assume Norfolk isn't going to turn up. If he does we'll work something out. |
