Stockholm is as expensive as you want it to be, just like any other city, but it's not scarily expensive by any means, although it depends what you are comparing it with of course. Back in time, prior to Sweden being in the EU and the exchange rate was 1 GBP/10 SEK, it was considered an expensive country, but those days are long gone and today it's 1 GBP/13.6 SEK. If you go by London prices and add a little, you will not be far away. Go to Oslo or Zurich for expensive.

To give you an idea, i posted the below on the Pandora thread (First Time Visting Sweden) earlier :

I mentioned in my post (29 May 23 08:03) that i was back home in Sweden for a few days from Friday 2nd (late) and would take photos of prices (bar and restaurants).

If you go to new community, select my profile and PHOTO GALLERY, you will see a zillion new photos (not all related prices in Sweden) on pages 1-5 (since June 6th). The Best Western Menu photos were taken at Arlanda airport (Friday). The Viking Bar in Stockhom city (Saturday afternoon) and the remainder on pages 1 and 2 were taken in Linköping (where i live) Saturday to Monday. I even took some photos in the local ICA supermarket.

At least they should dispel any notion Sweden is mega expensive.

WD Werbie and George with the points, ensuring us 2nd place. Shane did the donkey work with a superb winner and it was unfortunate we didn't win this round, but fair play to Mitolo who did the same, albeit on the nose. We were never in with a shout of winning after that.

We may not have won a round yet, but we're certainly the most consistent with 5 runner-up spots from 7.

Good luck in the next and final round. We need to finish no lower than 6th and higher than Racing Demons for our 3rd title.

However, because the team currently in 4th place have also picked Shane's selection, it's going to cancel Shane's selection out should it win.

So it's going to fall on my guess in the 8.30, which not only has to win, but the price needs to hold up too.

So as things stand we need to finish at least 4th.

If Shane's pick wins at 16-1 or bigger, that would be a good result and then we'd need other results to go our way.

Unlucky guys - I feel I let you down there - You can probably tell I don't follow this as much as some. I don't know why but I thought we needed big points to catch the leaders - hence the 20/1 shot. My daily nap (which has always been the same pick here) won @ 4/5 I guess that;s the difference - Next time!

Mr S, as it turned out, I think we needed a 12-1 winner to get into 5th place for this round.

But hey, the team scored the highest profit in the comp, so kudos to you all for that.

Mr Spreadsheet, you (or anyone for that matter) didn't let the team down. We performed well, 5 runner-up spots, highest total points and in the end we were only beaten close home by a head (OK a single point). If we had converted just  one of the runner-up spots, we would be celebrating now, but we didn't. Fair play to the Cleeve Hill Mob, they needed points and went for it, ending with a few good results.

Looking forward to the next one.
