Sorry there NonVintage, I hadn't realised there were as many as 16 runners in the 5th leg, but I suppose it is Ireland, it doesn't often happen over here nowadays! When I first looked at the dividend it was showing £439.88 on the Racing Post website, which I thought was strange as all the dividends are rounded down to 10p and it seemed a rather high dividend for the results. However I think they have got the number of units mixed up with the dividend, so I think it was 439.88 winning units producing a £32.70 dividend of which your 80p share will produce £26.16

It now appears that the winning units were in fact 384.92 although by adding up the 3 placed horses in the last leg it would appear to be 384.88, although it would not make any difference to the dividend, so I don't know where the original figures came from

A moving day with three returns and people getting in a position to strike over the next two days. At Doncaster both Lampus and kkkatt got 60p shares of their £124.80 dividend for returns of £74.88 while at Kelso qqking got a 26p share of their £18.90 dividend for a £4.91 return

The last day of the year and we have the most excitement of the year. The overnight leader suffolkpunch went out in the first leg at Lingfield follwed by Aquarius at Newbury and then the 3 players at Warwick. So we only had dukeofpuke and kkkatt left in the Newbury placepot. Even with favourites being placed in 3 of the legs the placepot there paid a nice £1,957.30 and of that dukeofpuke got a 20p share aided by a non-runner in the 5th leg and kkkatt got a 15p share for returns of £391.46 and £293.60 respectively. But dukeofpuke who was languishing at the botton of this month's table doesn't quite get enough to overtake kkkatt to the top of the table and win this mpnth's competition. dukeofpuke must consider himself unlucky with that excellent effort, the 2nd highest daily return of the year just being thwarted. So after all that kkkatt should get our congratulations as this month's worthy winner with the odds on favourite at the start of the day suffolkpunch only finishing 3rd and NonVintage who was in the lead after Boxing Day only 5th with the final table being as follows:
