DIVISION 2 SELECTIONS for FRIDAY 30th September (final day rules apply)

Last day of the month so final day rules in force......

- All selections must be posted prior to the official start time of the first qualifying race of the day (1hr rule still applies).
- No duplicate selections allowed.
- No reserves or unnamed horses allowed.
- No 'Rest Day' allowance: those who don't post will automatically lose a point.
- Once posted, a selection may only be changed if it becomes a non-runner and as long as the above rules are still met.

differentdrum was today's top scorer and moved up into 8th place with a bluesy 9/1 winning nap Cool,

joint NBs saw undecided ease 5 places nearer safety and Inside The Box move up to the pit exit door, both with jumpy 4/1 successes.

Elsewhere The Sawyer improved into 12th spot with a starry 10/3 winner and

la mallatiere held station in 9th thanks to an actionable 11/8 nap while,

FatPunt, Poppydog and dukeofpuke weighed-in with odds-on shots.


Well done the winners and the Best of Good Luck for tomorrow everybody.

I think this is my fifth month, and overall I have enjoyed taking part. It has concentrated the mind, and forced me to at least glance at races I would normally have zero interest in. One thing is for sure it isn't easy and this appears to be a very tough division to exit. Two big frustrations which are out of your control. The very big priced winner which we had this month, and has effectively meant only four places have been up for grabs all month. I know some people will say well done, but is that done through gritted teeth? The other thing is market support. In this competition you don't want it. For instance the horse I put up yesterday was available at 18/1 in the morning. You are looking at a whole different ball game if it goes in at a bigger price.

Not a rant, just thoughts.

On the last day not sure why you can't have a reserve in case of a non runner. Having battled all month it would seem very harsh to miss out by virtue of a non runner on the last day.
