This morning our newest recruit airto was bemoaning "the direction in which I'm heading in the table". Fast forward to now and he's 3/1 better off and sitting snugly in second. How's that for a swift change of direction? Time to press the pause button?

Our airy one was joined in his success by Fortismere, who backed the same nag to jump to fifth. Cool

Hard luck story of the day was ROVING REPORTER, last seen scouring for scoops in the basement. He scored with an 11/4 but collected less than a quid because of a dead heat! Still, he did get up to 19th. Grin

Just the one other winner, amid yet another summer's day of abandoned races: an odds-on that pushed ISAAC2000 up to 13th. Happy
