I guess the wind wasn't quite as bad north of the border, home of the only race to survive the ravages of storm Eunice. Even so, I imagine conditions were a tad hairy, which makes today's crop of results all the more worthy. Especially the crackerooni from Longshot Louie. Listen To The Lady - as long as her name's not Eunice - hit the winning post at a mammoth 18/1 to shoot our hero up from near-bottom to fourth! Terrificolio!

Meanwhile, a 9/4 lifted DIFFERENT GRAVY 12 to 14th

while odds-ons couldn't stop Lucky Luciano dropping to fifth and scissors slipping to seventh - despite his seventh strike in nine - while hale-bopp stayed in 12th.
