Probably best to go for a win NEC as a place will only be about 10/12 pts looking at early price, Workrider not been in touch so best get it posted.

Yes. Those 11pts would have meant we didn't finish bottom.
Yes Scrabbler perhaps a salutary lesson to leave selections as they are posted but done with the best intentions, we would have only had 1 extra point though.

That one extra point would have put us 11pts clear and in an unassailable position in the competition. However, unless we finish in last place in this final fortnight we should still be OK.

Aceys 25/1 place gets 25 points, trumped by a 3/1 winner with 30 points. You can see where the value lies.
That's result dependent Barstool, you could say Aceys horse was very unlucky and had it won would have been another 125pts, whereas if the 3/1 shot had come 2nd would have been no pts, think we're over 350 pts ahead of 2nd in SP terms, wouldn't be that far ahead backing shorties, but each to their own way of betting for the comp, i think you need the variety in a team comp, and one 25/1 chance winning backed EW takes some pegging back.
It is all result dependant. I just think it is easier to find a 3/1 winner than a 25/1 place. As you say each to their own and perhaps as a competition it is all the better for it.

ZAMBEZI MAJIC (Chepstow 4.20) caught my eye ay Haydock two weeks ago. Settled at the back and not asked to do much at all ran on kindly and beaten far enough to drop a further couple of pounds today. Has come down 14 ilbs since Bernard Llewellyn got him from Clive Coxes yard and looks to have been targeted at this race which the stable are sponsoring. Stevie Donohoe is a very positive booking and will suit the hold up style of running. On the nose job at about 6/1.
Good luck Barstool, Bernard can certainly get a horse well h'capped and ready for a race, will have a look myself shortly.
Looked like he needed further today, but was some way behind, think will find a race in non too distant future.

Far to many races to have a meaningful confident selection so will go with 1st horse that i looked at this morning in Noble Mark- 7.45 Leicester only 5 runners now so will go for a win bet on here but have backed EW at 4/1 with 356, can't see it going off that big maybe 11/4 ish. Bred to like rattling fast ground so hope no rain, form of last race when btn a nose but awarded race has worked out well with 3rd and 4th both winning nto from same marks, Noble Mark has gone up 5lbs but likely still improving.

One to consider for a sub is Bestarious. (4.550 Hexham) Ran very well at Cartmel last week, albeit a seller but this looks easier. Should be about 4/1 so ew for a banker if tactics demand.

Some more useful points today and the Humbugs are a long way off the first place they need. No doubt there will be some nice priced winners at Ascot.

It's last run at Haydock was a brilliant one at the weights, faced an impossible task really. Pity he his drawn in the car park, just hope Doyle can get him tucked in near the rail.

Watching the race, I thought Grifter might get chinned on the line - as happens so often at Beverley. Good luck to the rest of the team who are still to make selections this week.

Looking to go out with a big-priced bang, I was torn between Highfield Princess ( who impressed me at York ) and Bielsa. I've settled for Bielsa who managed to win the Ayr Gold Cup with a solo run up the stands rail. Given the draw a repeat may be needed today. If anyone else in the team has something they really fancy I don't mind stepping aside with the wildcard.

Never mind lads, couldn't quite get up to win the last leg, but a very good performance overall, we all contributed to a fine team effort and hopefully we've retained our crown.
very tough day overall - think out of my shortlist (5) only Galiac won
we've definitely retained our crown but I'm disappointed I couldnt help secure a fifth win with my selection today
but winning half the rounds with a likely second place thrown in is not too shabby at all
