Morning guys
Many thanks motseel Hope you all have backed more winners than me this week ![]() Rub of the green certainly gone against me At least didnt put any of them up as naps although a couple of the places would certainly have helped the cause One last day As the midwife would say One Final Push Will Do we could fluke a podium spot with just a 5/1 winner but requires a lot to fall by the wayside to manage that Good Luck wherever you play ![]() |

Good morning everyone a gruelling week is coming to an end but what superb racing yet again at royal ascot which is where my selection is going to be.

Ah well, the competition endeth and its not been one of our best
I'd hazard a guess its been our worst ever score and finishing position......I can't remember one worse. A few winners in the coming days/weeks and we'll all feel like champs again. I leave you with a quote from a very sporting gentleman with many, many years in the game :- "Form is temporary, but class is permanent". Onwards and upwards? Thieves'r'us ![]() |

I did If you did please come back next year ![]() If you didnt please come back next year because the recruitment process is a nightmare ![]() You were all hand picked and arthritis is really affecting my picking of anything ![]() ![]() Enjoy your Summer EWTs |

Thanks everyone, always enjoy these comps, hopefully a summer in the fields and I will be ready to go again, this time maybe even contributing some points
![]() Thanks for organising stewpot, alongside vice captain Dessie. Hope we are all back for another crack next time. |

Hi guys
if you are having withdrawal symptoms dont worry you will soon get over it feel free to post as many selection for as long as it takes I have been told it doesnt always help ![]() My short list today would have been 2.55 Geremia 3.30 Spirit Mixer 5.13 Spirit Dancer bottoms up ![]() |

By:
Well count me in for the next stewpot that’s if I’m wanted ,have a great summer everyone hopefully we will get to see a great king George, judmonte and Irish champion stakes,
Motseel hope you get to see a few different grounds it is something I wished I had made more effort to do when I was younger,my team spent a season in the old division two so got to see plenty that year regretfully never continued,of course back then there were only 92 teams and hardly ever was anybody voted out of division four.back then altringham and Northwich Victoria would have run away with the fourth division but were never allowed in it. |
|
By:
Mine is a "short" list today Captain
Zarinsk, Alligator Alley, La Petite Coco, all at the Curragh. |
|
By:
Jimnast your spot is assured hope its another summer to remember, its always comforting to here a positive outlook
![]() ![]() Dessie a very pleasing 9/1 Winner I hope you backed her again after the drift how she started at 9/1 I dont know, the filly has repaid you many times and keeps on doing it ![]() |

Just thinking how we could keep the thread alive. Stewpot started with 3 on Saturday, then me Sunday, how about we have a team "3 a day" running topic, where one team player selects three at a meeting of their choice? One point on each selection? After Sunday we are +4 pts, anyone up for it today? As I see it all of us could go on same day, or spread over the week. One play of three selections on one day per week? Week runs Saturday to Friday.
|
|
By:
Jimnast you've been our top scorer for the last two comps and have only played in three so its good to know you'll be back!!!
Hope any thieves looking in read the 12.54 post and join the fun ![]() |
|
By:
Cheers stewpot and dessie
Regarding posting selections through the summer I will be happy to do that although on poor days like today I simply don’t even make any effort to look ,7 days a week for me finished some time ago, |
|
By:
I expect Thursday/Friday will be good days with plenty meetings and I think some nice smaller track Irish?
Hope everyone has a go but its only to keep our eyes in (or get our eyes in which ever is the case ) |
|
By:
Certainly echo your thoughts jimnast certainly only a 'fun' part timer these days
Yes Dessie an occasional drop in centre fits the bill, post when the urge is there suits me fine I was thinking of a new Topic but leave the posts on here for now Besides I would have to think of a suitable name EWTs Three for the Weekend or other endless threesomes come to mind EWTs TriUmphs (or Trioomphs) EWTs TriCasting (just for Dessie) EWTs Tricks EWTs Triers EWTs Trifles EWTs Triflings (endless descriptions apply) EWTs Triages (priority/damage assessment area, ID classification which ones are life savers, urgent not to be missed or just expectant) EWTs Triathlon (Yes it may well be a long hall but no hard fast starts or 'transitions') EWTs Trips Some may well be more appropriate than others if you see the opportunity or get in the zone feel free to post more or less often Doesnt have to be three but gives you a sporting chance, more or less all OK by me I am going to Tri and have a lie down now ![]() |
|
By:
I was thinking we might see some action from the White Rose element in our team today at Thirsk.....that Class 6 seller looks right up HKF's street. There has to be at least 13 plot horses in there, assuming Easterby is only plotting with one of his two (probably the Turnbulls horse?) As it looks like no one is going for it today my second trio are Sin E Shekells and Gorgeous General 2.20 and 2.50 Thirsk and as I don't have a third at Thirsk, Excelia 5.10 Tipp.
Good Hunting Thieves |

Im away from tomorrow over the weekend . I certainly join in from next week.

By:
Be nice to see you back HKF do drop in, I hope Pete got his Snash money back yesterday
Dessie keep out of those murky deep waters I may just pop in later bit tied up amunlikely to play need to find a bit of spare time ![]() |
|
By:
Im sure HKF would have put up Arctic Fox today so I already have a 10/1 shot to beat
Three very quick throws 3.20 Y Notions 3.30 H Wobwobwob 8.08 N Hiromichi |
|
By:
Unlucky Cap'n but at least Wob didn't Wob you of that place.
So we are -2 pts after 12 selections. Not bad considering the odds we have been shooting at ![]() Shabaaby finally hit the target last night in Ireland ![]() |
|
By:
Good on you HKF will be great to have more interest. Stewpot I swim okay so not afraid to go into those deeper waters but that WAS murky lol.......

What a superb 2 day fixture sandown has put on massively improved on recent years and the best eclipse for many many years I’m hoping native trail wins but no bet race for me although can’t wait to see it.
Each way lucky 15 for me Lion tower a really likeable and consistent horse Electrical storm hugely impressive at York Marshal Dan running well and well suited by the ground Get shirty quite a bit in hand at royal ascot although a little worried about stable form Have fun and enjoy a tremendous card at Esher it’s haydock for me which also has a fair card Good luck team |

By:
Many thanks Jimnast
I will put up my three ew, all at Haydock 2.05 Percy Jones 3.15 Secret Shadow 4.25 Oo De Lally enjoy your day out good card |
