So the final day almost produced a small turnover, but not quite. Which leaves us to celebrate those who ascend to greater things:
Hale-Bopp: twas the big bazookas wot mostly wunnit this month and boppy had the biggest of the bunch, a 40/1 in the first week. Never in doubt after that. A couple of other more terrestrial scores were just icing on the cake;
pcgoody: an exception to the big-gun party, a top of the div - by a country mile - 52% strike rate shows how he became so high and mighty;
madhatter: a month late by my calculations in going upstairs, but better late than never. A 14/1 mid month, bolstered by a regular selection of respectable scores made sure he finally made it;
sixtwosix: just the two winners, but when one three days ago was a 33/1 it's wham bam thank you (whatever is allowed in these non-sexist days);
The Dragon: my fiery friend and best friend of old snippy, he was another to benefit from the little and often school of napping, including an evens today. Your stay was so brief, but fiery!
Longshot Louie: the beneficiary of a retirement upstairs, all it took was a 25/1 at the start of the month. Say no more!
Hard luck story of the month (apart from that 2nd place by a head 80/1 of course) was travelling man, who missed out by pennies today from snatching sixth with an 11/8.
And it would be remiss not to cheer unluckyStu who bagged Fircombe Hall at 3/1 today.
