Hi lads,we are only waiting on Stewarts rise now,I have put out a call on the horse forum and sent him a pm so just a case of fingers crossed that he signs in,have seen him posting on hr so seems ok.I think undecided is looking to finalise teams midweek as he obviously has to sort out matches etc so if any of you can get a hold of stew somehow it would help us and undecided to know if he is going to take part.

You can put me in Glen if you're short but have to admit I've not been paying much attention to the horses last 3 months or so as needed a rest from it whilst watching the euros and Olympics.
Hope you are on the mend now.

Would be great to have you in stew,be near our original team sadly without stridingedge. All my scans were clear last month and feeling much better, mystery problem with my gall bladder but things looking up otherwise,3 monthly scans for a while so just fingers crossed!!Happy

Hi lads, great to get together again for what is sure to be a very competitive competition.Welcome back to tanglefoot whom I am sure will slot in as if he had never been away.Goes without saying that the last compy was very much a team effort so anyone hitting a barren spell need not worry unduly as things invariably level themselves throughout and all we can do is hope to do as well as last time.

Different foremat but the bottom line remains the same i.e scoring as many points as possible, that said there may be occasions when a strategy might be required to maximise potential opportunities e.g similar to when stew suggested a vote in the Epsom Dash last time.Don't be shy in making suggestions or pointing out any mistakes you think we may be making.Just remember nobody is going to die as a result of the compy so if we finish last it matters not,the competitors have some excellent tipsters and like last time well worth taking note of when considering a punt outside of the compy.

If you can put up your selections here as well as on undecided's thread it would be a help for the team and just a reminder that on Saturday's there is a cut off point of 1500 hrs for that days selections to be posted.I am sure I speak for the team in thanking undecided for his hard work and dedication in administering this competition.

Just enjoy,do our best and hope we again perform to a high standard and seriously respect our competitors in every way!!

Compy starts Sunday tugay so won't count. For what it is worth my two bets to date are Edrack and Motagally ew,middle to high but seems inconclusive from what I have seen if ground stays similar.

Might be worth an ew on Marco's only mount at Ayr tomorrow in the fillies listed sprint, she will be more at home on this ground imo.

As you are the first team to go "solo", are you all ok with how it works?

You will get 1pt for every team you outscore next week. There is no other bonus for high scores. You do not need to avoid duplicate selections, that is only banned within matches.

Well here we go lads, day one tomorrow but no panic to make a selection. This first week could be pivotal as we are the solo team taking on the others,I suspect it could be crucial in the final standings so just a case of do our best and hope we can carry on where we left off.

Just do your own thing and do not be shy in offering advice to the team as the format could require a tactical view at some point. My two Ayr Gold Cup selections paid out so I hope it is an omen. That said, others seem to be steering their teams away from shorter prices, not important overall imo even given the different format.

Pushing my luck perhaps in suggesting support of Stefano's remaining three at Wolves but they all have very realistic chances, good luck if having a dabble on them.

Good luck to all our opposition but let us try and disappoint them with our own obvious talent.

Hi lads, hope I found one to get some points on the board to start us off.Going for Available Angel ew in the 1400 hrs Leic. She has already won under todays rider and run well at the course. She is back among her own age group today and has a 3lb pull with Hurricane Helen for 2 1/4L factoring in the claimers 3lb from that race. With much stronger handling today it should give her a chance of reversing the form and at the prices appeals as the value.1/4 odds for the place but hopefully a win.

Hi again lads,an interesting start to the compy with some terrific scoring, myself not included even though the best backed horse of the week.Proves that not many gambles are actually landed, though I had no knowledge or expectation of such. Were the two big priced winners fluke results, certainly in the case of shanes I would say not,he gave very good reasons why the horse had a chance.

Reminiscent of George B when he tips a big priced fancy, jimnast on the other hand tends to undersell himself i.e going ew on his winner, again read his notes pre race.Skinto used to move markets overnight i.e shorten one a 1/4 point with a fiver at best prices, has changed tactics pushing 5/4 shots out to 11/4 (3/1 available) so take note of this, could be profitable.

Will be interesting when the trolls become as active as they were on the HR forum the other day, mentioned solely as any vitriol will be aimed to undermine our team.Ignore any such carp as it will be nothing of interest to anyone but themselves and 1.01 untrue.

Just remember it is not a sprint and all we are playing for is our honour,we are on the pedestal the others want, let us try and deny them that pleasure,One Swallow does not a Summer make!!!

I think that was a quote from Skinto many years ago when he was dissatisfied with an experience in King Street, apologies if getting that wrong,I just remember something about false teeth and swollen lips and £30.Wink

Maybe of no interest at all but Big Mac was a Harrovian, would he have backed the horse?

I think he would have had a little dabble at the price and a bigger ew at 11/2 3 places.

What thinks the trolls?

Muscika 5pts EW-2.05 York.

Not sure how this comp scores and with some huge priced winners already wasn't sure whether I should have gone win only but usually at this price about 14/1 I'd go EW so have stuck with it.
Horse goes well at York winning on last 2 appearances here in big field h'caps, most of it's wins have come on good ground over 6fs and has dropped to lowest mark for a good while, don't think even O'Meara knows when it will run well so just hopeful.

Hi stew, best of luck, was better lto than it looks on the face of it,fair chance if being back here helps.Simply in this round we score a point for each of the other teams we beat.Tough task given the excellent tipping so we can only hope for a few winners from you lads.

Good luck today lads,a couple of winners could be enough to give us points, don't forget the 1500 hrs cut off time today. Will try and keep an eye out for selections,if be 1445 hrs anyone is missing I will put out a call for a wildcard,so if you can please try and have a selection ready as a wildcard it would be appreciated, hopefully we won't need such.

Gone Cruyff Turn 2.05 after really struggling to find anything today tbh
(been too busy with a few things over last couple of weeks)

Still improving imo and given a shocking ride lto before finishing with a flourish, has made all a couple of times and could be hard to peg back here

Tangles has yet to run in the 1550 Haydock and could be crucial for a point or two,Lucander and his would be handy winners although any winner would be welcome.

Thinking that next week we should have a cut off of 1430 hrs and that you should suggest a wildcard in brackets with your own picks, then we could have a quick vote from those present?
