We almost had a big upset on the final day when scissors landed a basherooni, the only winner of the day. Mr Wagyu  came home at a humdinging 16/1. Sadly that left him a bit under £5 short of his target and he ended in ninth. Hard luck snippy, but great winner all the same!

So it was pretty much as you were up top:

Monte Christo deservedly takes the honours. A 33/1 on day 7 basically nailed it, though his three other scores did include a 6/1, leaving him with a very comfortable profit of nearly £22;

jimnast took second thanks to a hot streak at the end of the month, seven winners from 11, including an 8/1, 13/2 and 4/1. Splendido!

kkkatt notched some cool winners after a quiet start, including a 7/1 and 11/2, but it was a monster 22/1 three days ago that sealed the deal;

donb goes up thanks to five quality wins, most notably a 12/1, 8/1 and 6/1;

bluebook had just four scores but they were all quite bulky, most notably a 7/1 and 16/1.

Apart from scissors, the other hard luck story must be Shanelee1966, who looked a cert for promotion after bagging a 33/1 but couldn't follow it up and missed by just under £3.   Next time shane! Commiserations too to NEW GOLD DREAM and someone called Reged, who came joint top on strike rate at 42.31%, would you believe, but still fell short.

Hard luck to everyone else but many thanks for taking the time to make it a great competition. Not a bad month at all, with the top 10 in profit. Your contribution is much valued and I hope to see you all back for another roller-coaster month. And thanks for the messages.
