The Rules

There will be 8 fortnightly rounds, 16 weeks in total.
Each round and each week within rounds will begin on a Sunday and finish on a Saturday.
Each team will have 8 selections per week, one from each player, duplicate selections are allowed but no duplicate selections within teams at any time. Players must use their 1 selection per week, it cannot be carried over to the other week in the round.
10pts win or 5pts EW on British, Irish & French racing, selected any day, Sunday through Saturday, the week ends on the last Saturday race. If selection is posted without specifying stake then 10pts win assumed.
Settled at SP, EW terms as industry standard.
Selections must be posted before scheduled race time. On Saturdays there will be a 3pm cut-off for selections, that is you may pick in any race after that but it has to be posted by 3pm.
Once you have posted a selection you are not allowed to change it or the stake, unless it becomes a non-runner or is a duplicate.
Non Runners - that team member may choose again for that week.
If you are selecting in a race on Saturday, in the event of a non-runner, you will automatically have 10pts win on the fav in the same race as your selection.
However, you may replace your non-runner with any new selection, provided you do so prior to the race time of the original selection and adhere to the Saturday 3pm cut-off.
If your selection runs after the 3pm Saturday cut-off, and the race in question is abandoned, you will automatically have 10pts Win on the favourite in the next available race at whichever meeting, or in the event of no such races available, it will go on the immediately previous race run.
If there are jt or co-favs then lowest racecard no. is chosen.
Reserve selections are not allowed, nor is posting "just-in-case"  selections for team mates that may or may not turn up.

Wildcards are available to cover holiday or other absence and covering for non-runners.
Team captains will be responsible for managing any wildcards required, there are no restrictions on their use, but please try and share them around so that no one individual is always claiming them. Please also name who the wildcard is for when posting.

Teams will start the week from a baseline of 0pts. This equates to 8 losing selections and/or non-selections.
Subsequent scores will be added to this baseline plus return of the winning part of the stake (10pts for win and EW winner, 5pts for EW placed). All scores count.
Scores will be accumulated through the fortnight, there will be no points awarded for weekly finishing positions.

Points structure for overall comp:
Fortnightly winners will receive 12pts, runners-up - 8pts, 3rd - 6pts, 4th - 4pts, 5th - 3pts, 6th - 2pts, 7th - 1pt

Tips Out For The Lads - many congratulations, a magnificent dominant performance, winning 3 of the 8 rounds and only twice out of the top 3. Clear best overall profit total too!Grin
Each Way Thieves - 2nd last comp and 2nd was very much the theme this time around, 5 runner-up spots and the overall silver medal, excellent consistency!
The Shrewdies - one win, two 2nds and two 3rds, great efforts well rewarded with an overall podium 3rd, just like last time.
Lucky Pin Club fell short of past exploits, but did in the end notch up two victories to nab overall 4th, and top scored in round 7 with 330.13.
GEORGE.B has had winners at 28/1, 22/1, 16/1, 12/1, 9/2 and 7/2, George the Genius!
Racing Demons, 4th last time, 5th this, started with a win but couldn't keep up the pace.
Humbugs finish 6th, with one win. If they can just get that chemistry right between captain and striker they can keep improving.
Never nice to finish last, Cleeve Hill Mob have had to play the last two tournaments a player short.

It has been my immense pleasure to bring back this competition after a few years break, I really enjoy running it and seeing all of you putting in the effort to bang in those winners.
