NH BIG RACE COMP 2020/21 - Race 26 - Irish National

The Rules:

The competition will cover 30 or so of the most competitive races of the NH season.

A thread on which selections can be posted will be put up a couple of days before the race and selections can be made up to 1/2hr before race time.

Players are given 2 stake points per race.
Players can use the 2pts on 1 selection or share the 2pts between 2 selections, 1pt each.
Points will be awarded based on each selections finishing position down to 5th place.
Results will be settled at SP.

1st place will get stake x 15 x SP
2nd place will get stake x 7 x SP
3rd place will get stake x 4 x SP
4th place will get stake x 2 x SP
and 5th place will get stake x 1 x SP

Non-runners:
If you choose one selection, please nominate a reserve just in case of late withdrawal.
If you choose two selections and one is a non-runner, your 2pts will go on the remaining selection, unless you left a reserve.
In either case you can replace a non-runner as normal up to the 1/2hr cut-off time.
If you make a selection with no reserve, and it doesn't run, your 2pts will go on the favourite (in case of jt or co favs then the 2pts will go on the one which is highest in the hcap)

In the event of dispute, my decision will be final.

Anyone welcome to join at any time.

Yes THE MUFF FLUFFLER you should have listened to Trusty and had your 2pts on
Dragon D`estruval what were you thinking of

Can't believe I still need another big winner to win this comp ☺️

stewpot and the muff fuffler, take a bow, great stuff.

I think the complete rag has won the big race comp 3 times this season, just go 2pts each time and clean up

stewpot, if only you'd put this up in the team comp

I knew it was between Dragon and Freewhelin but went for the wrong one!

Stewpot has you stuck the 2pts on instead on splitting with a useless 9/1 poke then you would be clear at the top!

If only.

Many thanks Trusty
for your sensible logical advice
Yes I can concur I have really blown the rare opportunity to win this comp
In my defence after a desperate Chelts I was merely posting to claim a top ten spot

My big mistake was I rarely look at others selections before posting
unlike you it never has any impact on my outcome . . .

It is your boldness that has always won you this comp (too many times )
however its a shame that if you had not been so bold and split your stake on Monday
you would be sat in second today with only 500 points to make up
I still wouldnt bet on you not finishing above me

I wont be finishing above you and I can confirm that I also have no interest in anyone else's selections pre-race. My only criteria are 1) Does the horse have a chance? 2) What price is it? The bigger the price the more likely it will be my selection.

It is very unlikely I can finish above you now although I will be trying!
