Not much of a shock about our champion. But a last-day blockbuster upset the applecart just below.

First off, very well done to Hale-Bopp, who follows his stable-mate Kohoutek upstairs as champion with a near £30 profit. You could say that 40/1 nuclear strike on the sixth day had something to do with it!

My stablemate Dublo Seven carries off the runner-up gong, capping his month with an 11/10 today to end with nearly £18 profit.

the dealer held onto third having set out his store with a 9/1 and 11/1 in the first week.

The big upset comes in fourth with NonVintage jumping in with Zamparelli  at a hefty 10/1. Brilliant.

Our final man to make it is Celeric, who just held on to fifth thanks to a 7/4 winner today. It's little surprise he has the month's highest strike rate of nearly 46%.

Look at that, the top six all over £10 profit. That's what I call a good month.

Commiserations to Monte Christo, who just got bumped out today. And a shout out for today's other winner madhatter with a 13/8.
