Good morning lads, looks like we need a scrabbler style winner to end a disappointing week,it was bound to happen so don't panic,a top 3 finish would be fine although difficult given the other teams have a lot of picks left.Good luck with todays picks, not sure I will catch any racing today but will check in when possible.

Future Investment 2.25 Haydock got no run at all in the Chester Cup lads so looking for a massive run today.

Just caught the last 2 furlongs acey, looked to be doing ok until push came to shove. Will be cheering on the humbugs to do us a favour. No doubt NEC will check in soon but will you standby to post a wildcard before 1455hrs just in case?
|
|
By:
Ok any points might be handy today so have gone ew on Umm Kulthum 3.35 think this can step up today
gl with bets |
|

Sorry NEC must have been typing at the same time, think you made a good choice and no surprise if winning, had Mondammej on standby.Similar to lto except more testing ground.
Very best of luck. |

By:
WD on the place nec, ran a cracker and points on the board!
|
|
By:
thanks jd
just held on for third but tbh draw probably beat it in end, and def the horse to take from the race along with 4th |
|
By:
It ran a cracker NEC but your guess is as good as mine as to the ride, would it have won had the jockey let it loose with 2f to run?
Still valuable points and very welcome, come on the humbugs for what is left but good luck to all. ![]() |

A few posts/comments have confirmed the suspicions but that was never in doubt, few have come back to deny their trolling penchant or multiple user names.
At least we can claim we are running clean as far as I know..........bar1 which we declared. See you domani if not in Paris!!! ![]() |
|
By:
How many of our team have ever had a picnic in Stalkhome covered in a different gravy beating a different drum claiming never to have had another user name...........even minus a happy smorgasbord?
New week and new horizon tomorrow lads, are we running clean IYO? |
|
By:
Nice place N-E
|
|
By:
Cracking effort by the humbugs and we owe them one,a sterling effort from them, let us try and match it next two weeks.I will have to do better for sure...........but running clean puts us in a moral place whatever!!!

It was good to be back at the races yesterday, started well as I got a photo with lovely Leona who is even nicer in real life. The restrictions were ok in general although 1 steward was stasi-like(probably ex-forces) and was trying to make things as difficult as possible. Having to order drinks via an app was not going down well with the older non-smartphone owning folk. I bombed out on the first 4 races but had the Irish guineas winner which got me back level. The day got better when I had a big e/w bet on Ainsdale(2nd) and also got the forecast up. Lets hope for another good week in the comp. |
|
By:
Sounds like you had a good day DG
Was on Ainsdale myself I'm further north east lancs area |
|
By:
Hi lads, gone for Dashing Rat 1440 hrs Brighton, win bet.Fingers crosses Marco can work his magic and get some early points.
|
|
By:
Good luck Glen, not really into maiden races, did you back his 40/1 winner the other day?
Good luck to rest of team this week as well. Think alba del sole has a good chance in the 1st if fit enough, 5lb claimer puts it on a decent mark and seems to like these uphill finishes, usually slow away and runs on. |
|
By:
Not putting in comp though.

The Dancing Poet 2.00W
Win |

By:
Didn't think he'd be that slowly away!
Glad I didn't put that up in team comp! Missed yours DG, never mind. |
|
By:
Marco didn't give that much of a chance, poorly positioned, had to pull out and took a while to get organised, bad luck.
|
|
By:
think its fair to say not one of Marco's finest moments, tbf though only his 4th ride at Brighton which is a notoriously difficult track to get right (where's Seb when you need him)
early days but other teams have made a bright start - the rest of us need to step up too the plate, we're all in this together |
|
By:
sorry DG didnt see you're earlier one, that was given another poor ride but ran on well when all too late, cant win from that position at Wolves
ok we definitely need to step up to the plate now... |
|
By:
I am going on holiday for 2 weeks so have decided to pull out of the competition as I will have limited internet access.
Good luck for the remaining weeks |
|
By:
Thank's for your contribution DG enjoy your holiday.
|
|
By:
Hope you're not going abroad DG, Glen will have his men manning the ports to make sure your not let back in!

Hi lads, sorry late with apology. To be fair to Marco I think the draw scuppered him and as you say the track does take some knowing,I did have an ew stew @ 50s.Tipped the horse several times to finish better than prices suggested e.g 5th etc but tbh that was a shock.
So with Bisto boy on his way to spread his virus in Clacton it means 3 wildcards for the remainder of the compy,if you chaps agree I will allocate them on the Thursdays to be used that evening or the Friday or Saturday unless anyone who has already had a go has a strong fancy before? My thinking simply to see how we sit and how we can benefit, you are all obviously welcome to volunteer to use one at any time. Good luck the rest of the week,a few points are definitely needed, cheer on the humbugs imvho. ![]() |
|
By:
Thanks for taking part D G
Have a good hol |
|
By:
If its any help Glentoby your three best players excluding you (as you've already used wildcards) are jamesdean, Acey Deucy, and Stewarts Rise (thats based on returns to date of course). Why not just allocate them now so everyone is clear whats happening?
|
|
By:
Hi Dessie, cannot disagree with your comments as you seem to have the stats.I have no idea who has scored what and as we are a team I will leave it up to them ultimately.
The compy is far from over and there has been some impressive scores from the other teams the last few weeks,we should be in with a good chance of finishing top but we really do need a couple of podium places to secure this. What do you lads think in terms of wildcards? |
|
By:
I dont see much tomorrow so happy to let anyone who wants to take them
Have went for Ventura Express 8.50 pontefract. Better at the weights to reverse form with soul seeker think ss just got 1st run on the selection last time when nothing was coming from behind |
|
By:
Blew it out the gates, beat 1st furlong with that start
Sorry lads, gl selections tomorrow |

Hi Dessie, cannot disagree with your comments as you seem to have the stats.I have no idea who has scored what and as we are a team I will leave it up to them ultimately. Team captain and no idea who is doing well or not What a joker WD Dessie in putting him straight |
