There's a tendency amongst some in the premier division to start posting tactically from the middle of the month. By that I'm of course referring to the player/players who wait until someone below them in the table has selected and then 'select' that horse themselves. If that's what someone feels the need to do then so be it ;I don't have a problem with it. Last night I delayed posting my selection in the 19.10 race until 19.09 however unbelievably one fast fingered fellow managed to plagiarise the selection and got his email in at 19.10.00.... My questions are this Using this race as an example what is the latest time (to the second) that a valid entry can be made ? And secondly should an email be posted at any time after this 'latest' time result in a penalty point being deducted ?
Doh the forum times caught me out ! Sentence should read:

Wasn't me guv. I tend to agree the e-mails are a bit of a problem. They were really only meant for emergencies but quite a lot of people seem to use that method of picking by default these days.

As long as the selection doesn't hit 59 mins, don't think there's much you can do.
Either play 'chicken' with the clock and use snipe tactics or join the rogues by emailing in yourself.
Emails must cause an extra headache for settlers, but it is a useful 'safety device'.

posy - the 1 hour rule allows napsters to post up until exactly 1 hour prior to any race. So if you wanted to nap in a race with a start time of 19.10 you could post at any time up until and including 18.10. Unable to allow for seconds as the Betfair clock doesn't include them.
Emailed selections are checked to ensure that they comply with the rule.
