Well we either throw hail Mary's or pick up some points and try for 3rd or 4th so am tossing up between Kauto Riki 20s or Copper less 9/2 ?
By:
unlucky lockup would have been right there.
I'll either go for one in the first at Aintree or my GN pick. |
By:
Gutted bloody jockey trying to be clever just kick him in the belly ping it and away you go
By:
Morning all
Only 18 Irish trained horses in the GN - well it narrows the field down a bit!!! My selection is going to be in the 4.15 tho where I had hoped the favourite would be a bigger price - at 7/2 it isn't for me. I made Cloudy Glen the second fav and will put this up EW - I have also backed Kilfilum Cross in the same race (EW), more in hope than anything else. good luck all |
By:
In normal circumstances I would probably be going for one at Newcastle but I think as no-one seems to have gone in the Grand National I might as well go for one there and it is Any Second Now and because of our position in the table will just go for the win.
By:
Ballybegg to win the first all in.
By:
I was going to pick Cloth Cap in the National but the sp is going to be of no use so its the Paul Nicholls trained Knappers Hill in the bumper at least it cant fall EW
By:
Good effort Aquarius, good luck duke to try and get us up a couple of places.
By:
Well done duke. That appears to get us 4th place, which I think is as good as you could expect from where we were at the start of the day. Roll on the next fortnightly competition.
By:
That could be crucial in the overall, well done duke!
Let that be our worst round ![]() |
By:
Excellent final shot Duke. Well done!

Nice one duke

With the Scottish GN delayed until Sunday, I've decided to go in today with Makram in the 2.45N. Roger is one of my favourite trainers and I need him to bring me some luck.
By:
good luck qq
By:
Good luck qqking, but remember it is your turn to play the wildcard for bluenose this week as well
By:
Chil Chil - 1.50 Newm - EW
Some good racing midweek and most of Saturday's card transferred to Sunday so I'm having a go today. |
By:
Likewise ud I will have a pop today. Going to back Pym ew in the 2.05 at Chelt.
I think he will be better in a competitive race at a shorter trip - and they can always use the 1st time cheek pieces excuse. |
By:
Sorry lads - I blame the cheekpieces
![]() |
By:
I will plump for Not That Fuisse - 15.15 Ayr 10pts win tomorrow lads.
By:
due to all the decent racing being moved to sunday i will try one today, Mithras 2.50 Newb i really think he wants a mile, but despite looking a little weak last year had some good form hopefully strengthened up and ready to go.
By:
Definitely needs a mile
By:
Nice one lockup, won well
By:
well done, now for mad's...
By:
Unlucky mad just missed 2nd last
By:
and not very good at 3rd last or final fence either...but that's the name of the game.....as ABBA would say.
Very disappointed............... |
By:
I was thinking of going for In From The Cold at The Curragh at a big price, but playing safer with Artisan Bleu at Nottingham
By:
Looking at the lack of posts, some of us may think that they can post tomorrow, well you can but that is another week so if you havent posted your pick by 3.00pm today its lost.So qqking is allocated the wildcard and Aquarius still to pick
By:
Hopefully waiting to see what we need at least to secure 2nd
By:
Aquarius has not posted today
By:
duke/lockup do you have a selection in reserve?
I can put one up if no show by 2.55. |
By:
And his green light isnt so doesnt look like hes logged on
By:
mine is in the last at Brighton.
By:
Yes 3.10 Curragh ew In From The Cold
By:
Ok ta undecided i'll leave it with you to post
By:
ok stick it on for bluenose and I will cover Aquarius if no show.
By:
WD UD saved the day there
By:
Sorry for not posting, I got tied up with something and have just got back to my computer. Probably undecided's selection is more likely to score points than mine. I was gravitating towards Gone Mod in the 5.45 Nottingham but it is currently available at 119/1 so probably not really one for this competition, but I was finding it difficult to find an alternative. Thanks again undecided for saving the day irregardless of the result.
By:
That's ok Aquarius, just hope it can win, a maiden but running ok, good weight & stable going well.
By:
I am going each way on Mighty Thunder in the Scottish National tomorrow boys.
By:
good luck mad
My pick is in the 4.45 at Ayr - Castletown again EW Good luck all |
