Well yes you can't put a selection forward and say use mine it's better than the other two.

Sorry lads - I put up one and hoped/assumed that no-one would then feel the need to name any others as it's been a long time since I did two in a week.
Then I got a call to go out drinking so never got to check replies or personally post my choice up and have only just got back home...haven't seen a result since about 2 o'clock.

As lockup said...if we all end up picking a second weekly selection then how do we decide the final choice?

Has to be capt call very easy to say bluenose7 wildcard picked by madhatter,aquarius,lockup,qqking,The Sawyer,dukeofpuke one of those,if capt not around then say so and delegate someone else lets say me as i'm normally around Saturdays

You should do what happens in TOFTL, the captain doesnt bother asking anyone else. Just takes them all for himself!

Apologies to all my team members, I think I messed up trying to give everyone a chance of the wildcard selection today. I had set a 2.30 cut off time for making a selection and as a result any selections for races before that timecould not really be taken into consideration. So for next week and all future weeks, on the bais it appears that bluenose is never going to make a reappearance, someone will get the wildcard selection for that week, and will have the whole week to make their 2 selections. So invitations are invited for the wildcard for next week. Anyone who has already made 2 wildcard selecions should defer until everyone has had two wildcards. Please make your wishes here so that there is no doubt as to whose entitlement it is each week.

Looking at this week's meetings I won't even be looking until Sandown on Thurs so no wildcard for me thanks.

There is at least one jumps meeting every day this coming week and I am therefore happy to take the wildcard if ok with you guys?
Especially as my initial choice is going to be 10pts win Sizing Cusimano - 4.47 Stratford tomorrow.

Well that was disappointing...thought it would beat the morning favourite Embole, which it did, but didn't see two others still finishing in front of it when assessing the race.

Can't see anything I like tomorrow at Stratford so will put up Wishing and Hoping in the Worcester hunter chase this evening. Looks a three horse race (but I always discount Maxwell) so 2/1 ish in a 2 horse race appeals to me!!

I have been struggling to see a wildcard choice this week...Go Steady @ 2/1 win only 18.10 Stratford is the best one left for me.
If one of you chaps can see something better at a longer price then by all means please use the wildcard instead of me, otherwise I will post the above selection up 5 minutes before the 3 o'clock deadline.

Rather than waiting to near the cut-off time I have now posted my pick of Count D'orsay in the 3.50 York. Was tempted to go win only but any place points may be decisive in the final placings, so have made it EW.

We avoid last place, not exactly much to shout about but there is still hope for beating last year's overall 4th.

At least we got some points today, unlike last Saturday. Didn't quite manage a three figure total but at least we weren't last. We started this competition well, let's see if we can finish it in a similar manner.

I've got 3 for Saturday at 4.05 Haydock Mo Celita 4-1 and 2 at Beverley 2.35 Poet's Dawn 4-1 and 4.20 Casilli 5-2

We have 4 more wildcard selections to make in this competition. These should be made by 4 different team members. So I suggest anyone wishing to make a proposed selection posts on here before 1.00 and then a decision can be made as to which one should be picked. The same position will apply for the following 3 Saturdays.

The only other I like (but not really my sort of price) is Jemima P in the 7.00 Ffos Las

Slight reservation would be that it was a nr on gs ground and does look a better horse on good.

No but I only saw your post 5mins before race and the market didn't seem keen, not much in it but Pins got that one and are now right behind, they've got Zeyaadah win only as well.

It looks like it will be a quite open competition tomorrow, so I think we have to try and make the best of our wildcard selection. Could anyone who think they might like to have a go with the wildcard post their proposals on here by say 12.30 and then a decision can be made from those suggestions as to which one to go for.

i am going all in Bolshoi Ballet.

I have gone for Heights Of Abraham in the 3.25 Musselburgh, a previous selction in this competition. No doubt will take a time to get going from out of the stalls but the smallish field and extra distance from its previous run should help. For a wildcard I would consider another of my previous selections in this competition Kayf Adventure in the 4.45 Hexham.

In the absence of any interest in making a wildcard selection I think we have to go for qqking's selection of Breath Of Joy in the 4.00 Musselburgh. In case qqking is not about at the moment I will post that on the selection thread now.

As the price of Falcon Eight is unlikely to be enough to make a significant difference to our position, I think we should go with Bellosa today

Thanks to all the team members for taking part in this competition and especially to undecided for running it together with all the other competitions he is running at the same time. One would have thought that having a wildcard available all these weeks would have been an advantage but instead it appeared to have the opposite effect. My own performance was exceedingly poor, although I invariably seemed to be trying to find a double figure priced winner on most Saturdays to try and get us to the top of the table. Unfortunately I didn't manage to get George Bs string of winners, which was very impressive. Tips Out For The Lads were worthy winners but like all these tipping competitions, every dog will have his day and I am sure our turn will come some time in the future, we just need to refine our tipping straegies. So thanks once more for all youe efforts and enjoy your breaks until the competition returns perhaps sometime next year.
