I think Dessie has summed it up quite well

Dessie & Hilly raised our hopes by getting us back in touch after week 1 gaps appeared
sorry to say downhill after that

We simply need to convert those 4ths to 3rds & 2nds to Wins ..... Simple guys
At least we have played our part in making it into a very competitive competition Laugh
Lets see if we can keep it that way Cool

Right now we are all thinking every other team seems to be having great winners and good fortune but the reality is we are still second in the scoring chart, despite finishing bottom this period. Our time will arrive, just like Salmons did yesterday, third at best and gets a 12/1 winner Shocked (sorry salmon but that was BAH HUMBUG lucky)

Our new motto:

BELIEVE Thieves!!

PS Tips Out For The Lads have been EXCEPTIONAL and are on course for a massive final total if they keep it up. No disgrace to finish second to exceptional but we've all seen major collapses before........it could happen next period. Whoops

It was an e/w pick Dessie. Was very hopeful of a place, the horse is very consistent, but yes the win was a stroke of luck. Mind you it was my first score of the year so probably needed to stave off a coup d'etat from Norfolk    Grin

That 7.00 race looked very dangerous for both horses and jockeys, Jimnast. I hope they are not using that cross country type track again this week.

I was waiting for the Guineas too Jimnast lol but i'll go elsewhere.Cool

Unfortunately HKF with that Hong Kong race televised we didn't see the bad stalls antics of yours as loading took place as the horse had calmed down by the time they went to Wolver. Maybe lost its race in the stalls? Wasn't impressed by the ride to be honest, 4 wide for 2 miles would be a bit optimistic so either jock was instructed to race wide or he decided himself that the horse had lost the race already in stalls. As you say ran like a 100/1 or more shot and you have to wonder about the apparent "gamble". Frustrating!

it is stewpot but that would never be a reason on the flat i would back one,i think we compete well with them on the flat its the national hunt they are worlds apart.

Good afternoon dessie

I learnt a long time ago punchestown is a great meeting to go to or watch on tv ,but it’s absolute minimum stakes so many good realible horses run stinkers there every year ,even at the smaller meetings I seem to back many horses who run bad.

I should we have have tracks where we get it so wrong ,over here I think sharpo was the last winner I backed at the July course and that evening I watched west Germany beat France in the World Cup semi final after racing.

Sharpo was a real speed machine Cool

Jimnast re our team selections this week. I a more than happy to go dutch on the Guineas and both pick in it. The open betting means we can both go EW and hopefully find the winner and second between us. Wink
