.

The final day was a total damp squib - not a single winner.

But that doesn't take the shine off the achievement of those who have gained promotion.

Not going to refer to them all - TEN going up. Phew!

Never had that before.

Top of the list obviously is Poppydog, not only a champion but with the second highest strike rate of 45.5%. Even so, it was clearly his early doors 20/1 stonker that sealed the deal.

Good to see newcomer General Midwinter going straight upstairs. He will be most remembered for his 18/1 strike just over a week ago.

Joining his mate pumphol upstairs is panglima who notched the highest strike rate of 47.6%.That's some going! After banging in a 6/1 and 5/1 he stuck to the shorties to keep himself ticking along.

Special mentions to IntheGroove (your selection today was too late I'm afraid) whose tally includes a handsome 12/1,

and pcgoody who likewise had a 12/1 under his belt.

Hard luck to those who didn't make it but it was great having you all on board and I hope you come back to us in November. I especially hope so now the division is down by so many. Seriouasly folks, if there's anyone you can nudge into joining, please do!

And thanks for your messages. Much appreciated.
