I didn't bet on Strad (too short for me) but I should have taken my own advice about the winner.

One of those weeks, Tiger! Had a decent week with the bets, just couldn't pinpoint one for the team.

Just four bets all week, 2 losers, two winners at 1.93 and the saving grace was the winner of the Caulfield Cup at 9/2, had better weeks, had worse too.
Its not easy trying to pick a big priced ay any time of day but even harder trying to pick one for the Comp. |

Great pick Chavman! Just watched the reply. If he'd got up it would have helped put the memory of our last round right behind us! Still some good points on the board.
It looks like we will need to win at least one of the 2 rounds to come out on top in the comp. Do your best this round guys and lets put ourselves in contention going into that final round. GL lads! |

Another close one Chav,any other day jockey goes out the side door on winner,points very welcome, WP. A round to put behind us,everyone in the team experiences that with their own punting,comes with the territory. Cheltenham frid/sat,normally two decent days to get stuck into a few jumpers. Clinician won very cosily last time, SMS has two in the race but RM would surely have had the choice, around 5/2 at the moment as is going up for the comp.

Its why I don't like Saturdays in this comp Stu, the 3 pm cut off doesn't let you get a look at the markets close to the off if you choose a race after 3pm. The markets tell us so much.

My selection is today gents.
ABERAMA GOLD 2:40 Donc - Its last win comes on soft, judging by the weather 30 miles away id presume Donny will be soft enough today. Hopefully it can run something like it did at York when it had draw (1) in a big sprint hcap, right down the far side, Im hoping it can get even more competitive on the soft ground. Again at Ayr last time it was drawn stall 1, as it is today! Its ran a good one at Ayr, beaten 5L but the winner won easy, it fared very well considering it was isolated on the far rail for long periods, it may well be today. It gets a 2lb reduction today and SDS replaces Gray. |
