Price and Shrewdies position dependant on straight win or EW

Looking at a couple myself for today, and may well play in tge 4.45 at Sedgefield or the 3.50 at Ayr, can't make my mind  up about Succelus or Bucephalus in the Ayr race.

Well its decision time, was going to go for the Pipe horse in the 4.45, Fly To Free, gets the allowances and the winner, 3rd and 5th have all come out of his last race and won next time up, just baffled by such a big drift, odds on to 3/1 in places makes me wonder. Havent time to wait and see if the odds come back in as the other race is at 3.50, so I'm going there for Sucellus rather than Bucephalus, Sucellus who is primed off this rating, ran a cracker last time out so his mark has gone up slightly after falling for a while, so its now or never I would think.

Tudhope has the ride, but Hollie Doyle has got off the one I'm backing to ride the one I'm not backing.........hope I havent made 2 bad choices, wrong horse and wrong race...we will soo find out.

Chavman, I've noticed you've said a few words to UD. I'm not going to tell you what to do, but he seems a nice guy and it must be very time consuming for him to run the comp. He doesn't have it in for our team or anything but if we're to participate, then we have to play by the rules that he has in place. Like I said, Undecided seems like a thoroughly nice chap so I'm sure he'd be happy to accept any kind words from yourself. GL for the rest of the week guys.

We didnt get done SS, just a couple of guys picked a 100/1 placed horse, well done to them, they deserved it for that. Anyone else picks another like that then they will finish top again I'm sure, regardless of what anyone else does.

4.55 Gowran Park, backed the Elliott horse at 7/4 and 11/8 yesterday tea time, now gone way odds on to 4/6 and 8/13 in some places, still unless I can find something in tomorrows cards then I'll be putting this one up regardless.  Won a 80-102 race last time with easy on his first start for the stable, goes up 10lb for that - but todays race is just a 5lb penalty so he gets in off 104 (99 last time and his new rating is 109) in a race that is for those rated 80-102, cant see the penalty stopping him here. In the 4.35 Urban Beat was a possible alternative, gets amazing weight pulls in this against some he has already beaten but his win percentage tempers enthusiasm.

Might have to post it up before getting a chance to study tomorrows cards - internet problems here, on and off every 10 minutes.

Will be sticking Fresh up in the 4:50 Ascot race, again its another one with good form and off the same mark as last time, only up in class but because of that takes a lot of weight of its back. Was slowly away last time and still only beaten a length so that's a + for me. Good to soft the going but think that should be fine

Yeah GL SS, lets hope he can act on the going and grab a place at least. The front 2 are already proven on the going but if yours handles it, he shouldn't be far away.
Thankfully Tiger listened to his inner punter about Urban Beat..visor on today and still the same result. That horse seems to enjoy chasing one home and not one to back at short prices IMO.

If I see a horse I like go too short and I'm not on at an acceptable price, I just let it run. This has served me well over the years.

I might go EW with Noc's because it's an incredibly competitive race and 4 places will be available. If we pick up a place with Noc's and then me or tiger pick a decent priced winner, that could get the job done.

I have a number of selections priced at 5/1+ under consideration....I'm hoping not too much money comes for them.

Go for it, noc's if its an each way price then take it for four places. I'm looking at 2 at the moment, both around the 5/2 mark. Ruled out Rich Waters in the 5.55 because of the weight pull that Hannons horse has for a 5 length beating, on we go into the night.

Form study a bit of a waste when the rains come, Have a fancy for Cornerstone Lad though in the 4.00, has performed on soft and heavy, but what you don't want for a Micky Hammond runner is to see a drift, wont be able to monitor the market with the race being an hour after cut off time Rum Runner in the 2.15 hasn't gone on anything softer than soft, but is still a possible, Harker has two winners from his last three runners. Ant that gamle of Rae Guests looks interesting in the 6.30 Wolves, courtesy of Chavman.

My selection was due to run at Ascot along with Noc's by selection. So team plans have been throw into disarray. We shall steady the ship and go back to the form book. If any of the team has a strong fancy at a decent price (Noc doesn't like backing favs) I shall consider it for a selection.

I'm thinking of a strategy that could work out. I like Champers Elysees and I can't see her getting beat but if there was to be an upset, I do like the look of Billesdon Brook what with her excellent course record and ability to hand soft going, the 12s for her does look a touch of value IMO. I might go win CE and EW BB with the wildcard.

Dana Forever in the 8.00, not been out of the first 3 on the aw, the 5th has come and and won from her last race, around the 14/1 mark. How do you go about picking for someone else though, difficult to know what anyone else looks for?

I'm glad you put a 5/1 winner up WP, that doesnt have anything to do with what I said though does it? I merely noticed that we had two selections in the same race for the first time to my recollection, in previous weeks it has seemed as though our team have tried to avoid doing that, if thats not right then I'm quite happy to go along with us having more than one selection in the same race.

No I've not put any rule in place about not having 2 selections in the same race. If you and another member really fancy one in the same race? Then you should both post it.
