The Rules
There will be 7 fortnightly rounds, 14 weeks in total. Each round and each week within rounds will begin on a Sunday and finish on a Saturday. Each team will have 8 selections per week, one from each player, duplicate selections are allowed but no duplicate selections within teams at any time. Players must use their 1 selection per week, it cannot be carried over to the other week in the round. 10pts win or 5pts EW on British, Irish & French racing, selected any day, Sunday through Saturday, the week ends on the last Saturday race. Settled at SP, EW terms as industry standard. Selections must be posted before race time. On Saturdays there will be a 3pm cut-off for selections, that is you may pick in any race after that but it has to be posted by 3pm. Once you have posted a selection you are not allowed to change it or the stake, unless it becomes a non-runner or is a duplicate. Non Runners - that team member may choose again for that week. If you are selecting in a race on Saturday, in the event of a non-runner, you will automatically have 10pts win on the fav in the same race as your selection. However, you may replace your non-runner with any new selection, provided you do so prior to the race time of the original selection and adhere to the Saturday 3pm cut-off. If there are jt or co-favs then lowest racecard no. is chosen. Reserve selections are not allowed, nor is posting "just-in-case" selections for team mates that may or may not turn up. Wildcards are available to cover holiday or other absence and covering for non-runners. Team captains will be responsible for managing any wildcards required, there are no restrictions on their use, but please try and share them around so that no one individual is always claiming them. Please also name who the wildcard is for when posting. Teams will start the week from a baseline of 0pts. This equates to 8 losing selections and/or non-selections. Subsequent scores will be added to this baseline plus return of the winning part of the stake (10pts for win and EW winner, 5pts for EW placed). All scores count. Scores will be accumulated through the fortnight, there will be no points awarded for weekly finishing positions. Points structure for overall comp: (if 6 teams) Fortnightly winners will receive 10pts, runners-up - 6pts, 3rd - 4pts, 4th - 3pts, 5th - 2pts, 6th - 1pt Competition schedule: (to be confirmed) Round 1 - 9 Aug to 22 Aug Round 2 - 23 Aug to 5 Sep Round 3 - 6 Sep to 19 Sep Round 4 - 20 Sep to 3 Oct Round 5 - 4 Oct to 17 Oct Round 6 - 18 Oct to 31 Oct Round 7 - 1 Nov to 14 Nov |

Hi Shane and China best of luck with the Pins.
|

Just a note of caution for the week ahead. In general they are running on roads at the moment but thunderstorms are forecast for later in the week and if one of those hits ground conditions could be a lot different to what they are now.
Good luck all. Hopefully, we can make a solid start. |

A few winners gone in but so far nobody off to a flyer.
Tomorrow a key day as weekend declarations are out so time to decide whether to wait or not. I am thinking of one for Thursday but want to see if there is anything potentially better ahead. |

Unlucky, just denied 3rd by the 18 lb weight concession. George WD on the place points, but so unlucky with the win part, a nose preventing us going top of the table. Onwards and upwards ![]() |

Had a look at the next two days and couldn't see any obvious reason to hold fire. It is pretty ordinary stuff ahead of York.
3.00 Leopardstown - Etneya. I backed her each-way but that was taking the first quote of 15/2. At 4/1 there isn't a decision to be made. She is probably going to very competitive or bomb out. Hopefully, it is the former. She is the type - Aga Khan/good pedigree - that the trainer used to do so well with. Fingers crossed he hasn't completely lost the knack. |

Good luck dd

Good luck DD, looks a valid selection

Bit more evidence that Weld has gone at the game. Given that she was nowhere near clued up enough, wants two more furlongs and the jock seemed to develop a dose of cramp in his arm, she hasn't done too badly. Fair chance she will be better than those in two months time but no good to us now. Things can only improve, I hope.

I`m looking at a couple for tomorrow, almost certain to select one.

Unlucky DD
Ive gone for Royal Countess 5.50 Hamilton 10 win as the weekend doesn't really appeal much. |

Best of luck mackies, should be around to watch the race.

Spirit Of Sisra - 2.40 Chester Should be decent odds, weak odds on fav. |

Unlucky Mackies and DD, up to the captain tomorrow.
Good luck Shane. Most, if not all of my selections, will be at a weekend. |
