mackies, when I saw the money for Penwortham on this drop in trip, I wondered if they were going to go forward on him and not allow Bossipop to have his own way.
As it turned out, Bossipop was pretty much allowed to dictate, and Stone Soldier probably could have done with a bit more pressure on the pace, and looking at his action, just wonder if he needs it even softer. I thought he might show more back on an easier surface but unfortunately the race didn't quite go his way. |

Bad luck George. That's two that haven't quite gone our way. Difficult at Chester when a fancied one takes advantage of the draw. That said would probably have ended up fourth in a few more strides.
Had a decent day myself yesterday with an each-way extra at a big price in the sales race and Alpinista without Love but neither would have been any use in the competition. Fingers crossed for Art Power today. He has been fairly weak in market. Tactical dilemma for De Sousa as to when he mounts the attack. If he goes by Battaash history would suggest that's the end of the favourite but he doesn't want to tee it up for a rag. |
