well it was nice to see you all on Zoom yesterday and as instructed taking the relaxed Fun day approach a shame about the few technical difficulties but at our age its difficult keeping pace So I have now managed to put names to faces No 1 Stewy - yes I can own up that was me with the spatula No 2 Shoveller in the potting shed showing us his propagation techniques im sure they will come in handy one day, future planning No 3 Stomper - Trekking up Scafell on a day like that just to complete one of the peak challenges was commendable but was the St Bernard assistance necessary No 4 Smarty - He was the one with rod in hand overlooking the lake whilst getting Deliveroo to provide a pizza how did they find you No 5 Smoothy - brush in hand for his fence painting whilst explaining the complexities of an extending ladder to his scantly clad neighbour No 6 Scary – barbequing sausages without an apron No 7 Slack - sat in the deckchair with his knotted hankie and Mr Whippy No 8 Silky – young lady in silks out riding practising whip action No 9 Shouty – yelling ‘Out of this world’ watching Space Blues Deliver, you have to get out more Only trouble is how did we end up with nine and 7 of you on mute Feel free to own up which one was you Menu today a little more varied but not much better  |

Nice One for yesterday Hilly...
Hopefully I can add to that today with Lunar Jet in the 4.40 @ Chester.. 5 Pts E/W... Only ever run twice there and both times in class 3 finished 2nd.. Last time got hampered badly inside final furlong finished DH 3rd promoted to 2nd... IMO would have won with a clear run... Has run badly last 2 runs but I'm hoping the break has freshened him up.. Has run well after a break before.. Thats the theory anyway... |

I was impressed with this horse last season ... I backed it ew last time out at 25/1 but it was really awkward out from the stalls and raced wide and used up all it’s speed too early to get within the first two after just 2f ... If it settles it may get us some points with a better ride from the jockey and back on a course it won at last season.. Best of luck to rest of team and well done to our team members who have managed to get us points.. |
