Just to confirm lads I've checked and did put EW but UD must have misread it. I'm sure though if it had won UD would have given us the win stake so no worries, the points make no difference to our placing. I deserve a break from the gods of racing next week

I can only say sorry guys final toss of the coin by me cost us 100pts, I just didnt like the going at Donny
We played well again, any weekly total of 80 is good, trouble is others played better Thanks this week to winners from Hilly, Petemac, motlees and a donation from your Captain It was very close to being a whole lot better Some close calls However I feel the Team is performing really well and jsut need a little bit of Good Fortune to leap frog those up front Gutted, Off to watch footy again by for now  |

I believe your E.W was ruled out because you did not mention the stake 'If no stakes mentioned settled as WIN only' So please note guys always state 5pts EW when placing an EW selection |

I did see you posted but too late, I do hope you are managing to stage a remarkably quick recovery I am also assuming you didnt see my note saying anybody not notifying us they will be making a late pick may find there entry being gazumped by a wildcard entry Further complications this week is that it is you that have the wildcard entry if it becomes available Given the circumstances if you wish I can pass that on to Hilly to save you looking in late on Saturday Please lets us know your views |

Just had a quick trawl through some of the team selection posts Dessie and Stewpot and plenty of people inc. myself just put E/W next to their selection and have been settled as E/W.
Worth asking UD if he can look again may need the 15pts by the end of the week... |

Evening guys, well done Motseel!!
I've asked UD. I'm not very happy with that ruling because many people just put WIN, don't put 10 pts Win. There is no ambiguity stating Win just as there isn't any stating EW. As well as that, as you say exactaman there have been quite a few just saying EW that have been settled? My original thought as you know was that UD would have settled it as WIN if it had won, but as I quite clearly posted EW would the other teams have accepted so many extra points for what was quite clearly a request for EW? I think the others (or some) would have been up in arms and UD forced to settle EW. The way the comp operates its either WIN or EW and if thats clear in the post there is surely no need for the "10 pts" or "5pts" Thats my view. |

Completely agree with you Dessie, there are lots of examples including mine of just stating E/W and settled as such...
Lapidary in the last round was one example of mine... Not quite sure why he's choosing to settle yours as Win... At the end of the day his decision is final but I think it's extremely harsh... |

Just nosing at your discussion. Not that it has mattered that many times I only ever put win or each-way. Why would you need to distinguish any further? There are only two options. If that's the only reason for disqualifying then it is wrong. The competition is so well run it is hard to see why this has happened.
