Well done to Flush for winning the comp and well done to MH for a close 2nd, great turnaround by posy as well as a marvellous run of winning bets!
Very well run competition SE and thanks for all the hard work, i certainly couldn't do it, lastly well done to all the entrants who kept at it, easy to drop out when going gets tough! What has surprised me is the amount of winners Flushgordon and others in the Top ten layed (10) yet still recorded a profit on month, would be interesting to see a running thread over the year or however long it lasts to see how laying so much of a winning percentage pans out long term. Finally does anyone confess to just probably guessing on real shorties in the hope they fall? |

I have picked a few I think are dodgy jumpers but certainly wouldn't wish them to fall. I look at plenty of the shorty's over the stix Stew and think the only way they are losing is falling or being unwell and personally I'm not interested in that. For me I'm trying to lay the shortest one I can on the day with the best reasoning, one I can fully justify to myself. I quickly saw that the ones at the odds range I want (avg odds around 2.5) don't always crop up in a given day so then I think I was guilty of trying to fit iffy ones just to get the odds rather than just approaching the day as laying one I have better reasoning for at bigger odds. Always an element of match play in these comps. I'm certainly not surprised the shorter odds are holding sway and would expect this to be the case most months. |
