One thing is for certain this month and that is that we will have a new champion as Lee Ho Fooks has other commitments but hopes to be back for March. Well done to the 23 Successful layers on day 1 of the February competition.We had two odds on slayers today and they sit 1st and 2nd at this very early stage.11kv took on Who What When at Wetherby in the place mark at a skinny 1.62 price and that one could only manage 8th of 11. Angeleyz opposition of Laurina in the place market at Sandown (1.79) also proved well founded with that runner pulled up after a lacklustre effort. I credited Happysandwich with 11 on the bounce at the end of Jan it was actually 12 so today’s success brings up a comp record of 13 consecutive lays, a very well done to that feat.

11kv's selection today summed up his current predicament with All Is Good failing to place at Taunton for an early 2/2 record and a £10 lead to Movewiththetimes who got Bigbadandbeautiful beaten in the bumper at Leopardstown at a price of 2.02.Cheify and Cardenden are also with the perfect unblemished start early doors sitting 3rd and 4th and Sontaranstratagem who missed the opening day opened up with a 1.7 shot to make up the top 5 places.

Four days in and SontaranStratagem keeps the top spot and increases the lead to around £40 as one of the Mighty Don layers at Market Rasen, the horse coming to grief at the last after a decent round of jumping to that point (Horse ok), 1.82 the price.Cardenden was on the same selection and is also like the leader yet to find a winner, a bit of a break now back to the 3rd.Pumphol has began February in fine form with the perfect 4/4 record just ahead of flushgordon who has only played 2 days with eastendboy 5th in a packing chasing group.A mention for sonofshinner who despite ending january exceeding the no show limit sitting out the last few days had previously put a 1o stretch together and now 4/4 in Feb has posted a new consecutive lay record of 14, so wd to him.

Sonofshinner has indeed beaten my 13 consecutive Lay record and the question now is how far will he stretch it to.

Flushgordon1 back from the enforced break yesterday with a no worries lay this evening at Wolves, Felix trailing in last of the 6 runners stretching FG's lead to approx £120 now after day 10.Airman ran into Beau Geste tonight at the same track but keeps hold of the runners up spot.Bustino has put some good recent form together and was one of several downing Fraser Island earlier at Plumpton.Uptheboro moved up a place to 4th keeping Shaws Cross out of the places at Plumpton whilst SontaranStratagem found The Nicholls runner Calve Dauge too hot in the opening race of the day thus slipping to 5th.

A bit of a disruptive day with the abandonment of Punchestown seeing a poor attendance in the comp.Flushgordon1 had no problems maintaining his form though with Coastofalfujairah pretty convincingly beaten tonight at Newcastle (2.14),the lead from yesterday increased a bit more in the table.The pick of the day saw Angeleyz fly up the table with Elusif running no race earlier at Chelmsford only managing 5th of the 6 runners turned over at 1.22 (new comp record) in the place market.Angeleyz moves up 17 places into the runners up spot.Bustino didn't select today and Uptheboro's selection was void but they remain in 3rd and 4th ahead of Happysandwich now 5th who has posted 21 successful lays from the last 22 plays following over from last months ending sequence of 12.

Regretfully MinnieLAI has exceeded the monthly no show limit but will be kept in the table so scores still recorded if still wanting to select.

Dukeofpuke is the latest on that No Show threshold so must post select every day to stay in.

Sunday saw the worst turnout so far in the competition let's hope this is not a sign of things to come.Flushgordon1 really ran into one today with the MJ layoff horse battered in the market at Kempton in the novice event to readily score (1.99), the lead however is still healthy at just under £160.Hong Kong Fooey back into the top 5 has the runners up spot today with the odds on Griggy downed in the lucky last at the same track (1.75).Smirnoff2therescue is up a place to 3rd with Double Legend well beat at the same track (5.5).Posy has a 14/14 record this month when playing with Busby stuffed again on the aw this sees Posy move up a place to 4th with normal service resumed for Happysandwich in 5th with Lexington Storm finding The earlier mentioned MJ hotpot too good today (4.52).
