Flatcap successful today in getting Fleeting Prince beaten at Kempton at odds of 3.7, 3rd of 4 in the race.We have 11 days to go an the lead is near enough £100 with Le Ho Fooks the nearest pursuer getting Rideson beat at Wolves this evening. Minnie Lai back to form today sits in 3rd ploace with an impressive lay on Christmas In April at Plumpton which could only manage 3rd of the 4 runners at odds of 1.77.Bustino and Mymumsfinethankyou both saw lay success today and fill the 4th and 5th spots now in the table.

One of the comps better days overall and this in the absence for the first time of comp leader Flatcap with not too much damage done to that lead. In the chasing pack both Lee Ho Fooks ran into a well backed Honeyball odds on shot which was too good on the day and they now sit 3rd and 5th respectively.Minnie Lai is now the closest pursuer in 2nd place, one of the 5 to get Majestic Sands btn at cramped odds in the 17:45 Newcastle heat. A mention for Posy who posted a new comp record of a 1.24 lay (place) on the same Fahey runner this evening.Madhatter is up to 4th with success today and 9 out of the last 10 selections beaten.

We have a new leader today with Minnie Lai pulling off another characteristically short priced lay to defeat Dark silver at Lingfield 3rd of 10 at odds of 2.04. Flatcap who had led the way for a while couldn't keep Return Ticket out of the places at Catterick and drops to second albeit not far behind.A bit of a break back to Madhatter who has been in great form with a string of lay successes in the last dozen moving up to 3rd spot.Angeleyz gets back into the top 5 in 4th spot with adamanty like madhatter making up the top 5 with some excellent recent form.No doubt many twists and turns still to come over the closing 9 days.

MinnieLAI couldn't get the impressive Paisley Park beat at Cheltenham this afternoon but it's this sort of attacking lay that still sees a lead worth about £150 going into the last 6 days of the comp.Flatcap took on Stately Home and did manage to keep that one out of the winners enclosure at Lingfield to close the gap in 2nd place.Bustino's place lay of Yukon Lil in Ireland saw that one only manage 5th place at skinny enough odds too.Very tight between Madhatter, Lee Ho Fooks and Hello:) for the next places.The former has nailed 10 on the bounce and Hello:) has an excellent 12 stretch on the go, wd to all 3 today seeing successful lays.

A very difficult day generally competition leader [/b]MinnieLAI[/b] despite finding another winner today in the shape Beaufort West at Fontwell didn't see too many in the chasing pack take advantage to put much of a dent in the lead.Lee Ho Fooks managed to get one stuffed in the place market in Ireland at odds of 2.83 but Flatcap couldn't keep Oscar Wilde from winning at Sedgefield and Bustino's selection though well beat went off too big so was declared void.The 2 long unbeaten runs for Madhatter (very unfortunate with faller that had selection held) and Hello;) both came to an end on a day that saw recent gains for the thread taken back.The finish is now in sight but still time for more twists and turns by Friday.

After Feb comp has ended, how about running a festival lay comp comprising of

Cheltenham March

Royal Ascot

Glorious Goodwood

Ebor meeting

St Leger

Same rules as before but 3 lay selections every day (because the markets are so strong maybe use Betfair SP's if this eases the workload for you.)

So we would have 5 Champions and a final table of all 5 combined for the overall champion.

Because 4/5 days is less commitment than a month, I could see this taking off and having many more players.

I'm off to OZ for 2 weeks but will continue to play (But there wont be any form study Ill be relying on the trusty pin

Lee Ho Fooks got Dunly well beaten into 5th place today at Newcastle at odds of 2.51 to go into the last 3 days of the comp with a slender lead around £35.MinnieLAI came back to form to maintain hopes with a comfortable lay of shorty Hamundarson at Down Royal yet another odds on success to add to the catalogue.A cracking effort from Bustino too in 3rd place keeping Belfast Banter out of the places at the same track at around 2's on.Flatcap also saw success at the Irish track and sits in 4th position with the recent Odds on slayer Madhatters sneaking up into the top 5 on a late charge.

From a high of 46 entrants to still have 40 in the comp is an acheivement in itself as usually people drop out when they are towards the bottom with no chance of getting anywhere near the top. It came down to the final day in the January comp and drama ensued.Madhatters who had held a £3 advantage going into Friday had managed to get his place selection Enfin Phil well beaten last of 5 at Catterick at odds of 2.15. Despite some excellent selections today from pretty much all of the top half of the table it then realistically boiled down to Lee Ho Fooks securing a price of 2.09 or less and managing to convert.The subsequent selection Alohamora was sent off at a cramped 1.79 at catterick and when going on in the latter stages looked a certain winner but horse and jockey misread each other and a last fence fall (thankfully both H&J seem ok) changed the destiny of the win away from Madhatters to Lee Ho Fooks, real drama that couldn’t have gone any further down to the wire.

Congratulations to Lee Ho Fooks who will be absent for February but hopefully back after, very well done to those in the red profit zone but also well done for all those that stuck with it throughout when it may not have been going so well.
