When I first saw the news I thought it might be a wind-up, and part of me still hopes so. But it seems the bleak news is true, that mini me has passed away.

Although he was not in this division, a number of other runners he posted were, and several more have moved on to greater things. mini me was a true stalwart of the competition and a fine competitor - as evidenced by the fact that he was napping to the bitter end. As I recall, he didn't chat much, but he was always polite and good-natured. He will be greatly missed. If any of his family are able to look in, may I express sincere condolences on behalf of all of us in Division 3.

Knowing what little I do of mini me, I have a suspicion he'd want us to go on as normal. But I think it only fitting we honour his memory today and dispense with the usual daily niceties.
