In the true style of a champion, he did it on the final day. kkkatt bagged a 13/8 to edge up one to the summit and claim the championship at the last gasp. Vvvery nice! It's not been a spectacular month - only one hit over 10, a 12/1 for Winkaw who sadly just missed out on promotion. But the kat was a regular scorer, with two 6/1s among his tally. It's slow but steady wot dunnit.
Not that anyone had a really hot strike rate. Our second promotee, Treesome - pipped at the last for the championship - had the top rate of just over 39%, with nothing that particularly stood out. Second highest strike rate of 37.5% was returned by our third-place hero, MOB. It's always nice to see our resident gangster get ahead.
Fantastic too that Shanelee1966 returns to his chums upstairs. He was just here on a bit of R&R this month.
Behind him, though, is our big winner of the day, Schrödinger's Cat, who crashed the party at the last with Seaborn at a hefty 9/1. That shot him up four to fifth. Super stuff!
And a big well done to bluenose7, who might have thought he had just missed out this month but benefits from a retirement upstairs. Good on ya blue.
Just the one other score on the day to record, as Fortismere earned 9/2 from Fifth Position to rise five to tenth.
Hard luck the rest but there's always next month tio make a difference. Hope to see you all back and ready for the off, and many thanks for all your kind messages.
