Final day of the month tomorrow so last day rules in force.....

- All selections must be made prior to the 1st race of the day (1hr rule still applies).
- No duplicate selections allowed.
- No reserves or unnamed horses allowed.
- No 'Rest Day' allowance: those who don't post will automatically lose a point.
- Once posted, a selection may only be changed if it becomes a non-runner and as long as the above rules are still met.

Quite a bit of bad luck today with numerous 2nds and 3rds. Hilly got the only odds-against winner of the day at 5/4. 6 other winners in the odds range 5/6 to 1/2.
Tomorrow I'm expecting some punting with it being the final day of the month.

i think you know the answer to that one major, not my decision, but it is the rule, i would personally allow it, but it isn't my call

Sorry major. The exact significance of these end-of-month rules is only partially known to me, but I'm afraid the cut-off rule seems to be very definite. I suppose it comes down to the fact that you can replace your selection if it is a non-runner but only if you make the replacement prior to the first race.

I suppose that if you knew a near opponent had a winner/loser in the 1st you could pick accordingly.
It is bad luck though major.
