No last minute shocks, so the table is just about as it was overnight.   Three of our leaders scored with modest efforts but the big winner of the day came lower down, where uptheboro finished the year with a 7/1 flourish in the shape of Burcan  to jump up five to mid-table respectability.

Hearty congratulations to our long-time leader swift-tuttle, with a final profit of nearly £25. His final winner today, Messire Des Obeaux at 100/30 (third strike in the last five),  confirmed just what a consistent performance he has put in to go upstairs after a long period of struggle - he has the third-highest strike rate of 52%, topped by an 8/1 in the middle of the month.

And hooray for Dirac Comb from the famous mini me stable, another to score steadily, his top return being a 6/1 mid-month. He banged in an odds-on today, his fourth straight,  to confirm him with the highest strike rate of 57% and an overall profit of £15.

DeSSieReborn hangs on to third by the skin of his teeth. He came to the comp about a week late and then has only had four winners. Thing is though that one was that splendid 20/1 strike a couple of weeks back. That's wot dunnit!

But he was almost pipped for third by good old petemac, our favourite driver of winners, who has finally made it back upstairs. Just the five winners in the month, but until today's odds-on that left him just 16p short of third, the lowest was 4/1 and the highest 8/1. Nicewunpete!

And a final well done to feastorfamine, a competition stalwart who has lingered too long in the nether regions but finally has his day with another regular contribution of steady, if unspectacular winners. He ended with the second highest strike rate of 55%.

Well done to you all and best of luck upstairs. As for the rest, hard luck guys but well done for trying and I hope you enjoyed it. Hope to see you all, along with some new faces, in the New Year. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
