As promised im quite happy to score this relentless comp this year unless George or stridingedge (who are far more capable and qualified imo) have had a change of heart.

Will start at Lingfield on Thurs 27th October for those interested.

Its a lot of fun, but it does seem to last forever!

Last years rules fyi mini me, wont be much different if at all different this year (probably no prize money though)

** ALL WELCOME TO JOIN AT ANY TIME ***

Start Date: Monday 9th November, 2015
Final Day: AW Championship Finals Day, Good Friday 2016

IMP0RTANT CHANGES FROM PREVIOUS SEASONS:

1. Please note there will now be only one meeting a day for comp purposes, and that will be the one that appears the most competitive.

2. Sundays will also be included

3. There are no restrictions on what you can nap, though only half-points will be awarded, as previously, for odds-on selections that win or place.

Prize Money

A monthly comp will run alongside the overall one.
Betfair are kindly providing prizes for the November and December comps.

Winner: £50
Runner-up: £25

The thread for each day's selected meeting will be posted the evening before on the HR Forum. The overall and monthly leaderboards will be on the Your Competitions Forum.

First race: 12.20

PLEASE POST SELECTIONS AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE FIRST RACE

Rules

One selection per race
One nap per meeting (which CANNOT be on any horse priced in the RP at evens or shorter)

Winner selected scores 7 points
Second selected scores 3 points
Third selected scores 1 point

If SP is greater than 6/1 points are doubled
If SP is greater than 12/1 points are trebled
If SP is greater than 20/1 points are quadrupled
If SP IS EVENS OR SHORTER POINTS ARE HALVED (i.e a 4/7 winner scores 3.5, a napped 10/11 second scores 3)

All nap points won are doubled.

Any non-runners (which can be substituted at any time before the off) will automatically go on the favourite.

Non-Running Naps will be transferred to the selection in the Lucky Last (unless clearly instructed that you wish to make another of your selections, which has yet to run,  your nap).

That's great mackies. As you imply this competition is like the Eider chase on heavy ground...stamina sapping !

Certainly for the last couple of years the comp hasn't started until after the last turf meeting. Are you sure you want to start as early as 27th October ?

last year the last major flat meeting was at doncaster on november 7 saturday.there was a meeting at kempton AW on monday november 9

this year doncasters meeting is on november 5 and on monday november 7 is newcastle AW

I chose the date as its the launch of the aw championship that day.

However, if people feel the first week meeting after Doncaster is when they would like to start then that's absolutely fine by me.

I politely asked betfair about donating some sort of prize for the winner (not necessarily a cash one) and they politely told me they dont have a budget for that sort of thing.

Which was exactly the response I expected.

Ive seen a couple of references to your stable mini me but if im honest ive no idea what its about.

Either way its no problem because the comp is open to everyone as far as im concerned. In fact i was tempted use twitter to openly challenge some TV experts to take part to see how expert they really are!

The main thing for me is the spirit of the comp is maintained. I wouldnt like it to descend into the name calling and abject bitterness that has become prevalent on the horse racing forum.

It's sad that BF /PP don't feel it's worth supporting it. Is it be because there's no FOBT on here ?Blush Just a thought, but have you considered contacting the CEO  Breon Corcoran or David Power direct?

Anyways and woteva I'll trundle along on 27th to see wotsappenin and look forward to renewing my acquaintance with the stalwarts and Anne Wink

mackies can't remember if this competition is run on either the 'your competitions' or 'horse racing' forum. Either way might be worth your mentioning it in advance on the latter forum to bring it to the attention of those who don't frequent this forum.
