Never really understand the ones in this PREMIERE LEAGUE where "this so called "ELITE LEAGUE" allows NON_
PARTICIPATORS to gain an advantage through NON-SELECTION!

Pathetically WEAK in basing such a set up to allow such "advantage" to be gained through NON- SELECTION..........

Drawing their nails out should be the bottom  line IF THEY DON'T MAKE THE EFFORT TO PARTICIPATE in making aan effort to select!

Why should LACK OF EFFORT get an advantage in this so called ELITE LEAGUE ?
Report DFCIRONMAN • November 26, 2015 5:58 PM GMT
If you can take the EFFORT to say  "NO SELECTION" .....then why allow such a post ?
Report DFCIRONMAN • November 26, 2015 5:59 PM GMT
If they can post that ................then they can post a selection!
Report GEORGE.B • November 26, 2015 6:04 PM GMT
The option is there for you too, DFC, it's up to whether you whether you choose to use it or not.

But it's like picking long odds-on shots, some don't like it and see it as a 'freebie', but the rules allow them.

So in a nutshell, with respect and imo - best just worry about your own selection and let others worry about theirs!
Report DFCIRONMAN • November 26, 2015 6:21 PM GMT
Sorry George ......we are so "close" at YEARLY NAPS table that this hightens this weakness in those that MAKE NO EFFORT
Report DFCIRONMAN • November 26, 2015 6:24 PM GMT
Yeah it is within the rules....BUT the rules are a bit of encouraging ethics that should not be  encouraged!
Report GEORGE.B • November 26, 2015 6:32 PM GMT
You clearly put a lot more emphasis on the yearly table than I do DFC, for all I appreciate undecided's excellent work.

I take one month at a time and focus on my position in the premiership - and right now I'm playing to avoid relegation - WITHIN THE RULES!
Report scissors • November 26, 2015 6:47 PM GMT
It was originally introduced for people on holiday having no access-- or away on business with no access ..
It helped me when i was off Africa lastvweek with little access --
But It moved on from that with a change in the rules to give everyone the oppurtunity to just make 25 selections in a month .
We are all playing to the same rules, so in that sense, it is "fair" and a level playing field -- and as competitors that is all we can ask for ..imo...
Report scissors • November 26, 2015 6:50 PM GMT
I do understand Dfcironman's pist ..
But he should realise that those that post
"No selection" are trying to save the division's
Organiser time in relooking through for a competitors
Possibly " missed" post .
Report scissors • November 26, 2015 6:51 PM GMT
I have no problem with either view point.
Report DFCIRONMAN • November 26, 2015 6:53 PM GMT
GEORGE. B.................Yup....I do place alot on being TOP of YEARLY NAPS table than some do.........RELEGATION from this "elite league" means nothing to me.................is not it better to aim for to be the one after a YEAR to be top napster than if you become relegated ?

You are well capable of selecting a winner......and are well ahead of the "minions" below to HAVE A GO..............holidays are OK .....but some are abusing the rules ...( NOT SAYING YOU ARE ) ....re ARE ABLE TO POST "no selection"....BUT DON'T HAVE time OR INCLINATION TO SELECT ONE.............just does not encourage aiming to be "best"  by end of year...........

Sorry GEORGE I've clearly "had a few"........and just find it hard to accept that such a weakness i rules allows an advantage to be gained in such circumstances where you can post "NO SELECTION" and that gains someone an advantage when they can post a selection!
Report GEORGE.B • November 26, 2015 7:00 PM GMT
DFC, this was all discussed when the rule in came in, and I'll be honest with you here, I was opposed to it for the reasons you outline.

That said, in practice I favour the rule now because there are days, like today, where there's nothing I have much confidence in and the 'freebie' option suits me fine.
Report DFCIRONMAN • November 26, 2015 7:03 PM GMT
I do understand Dfcironman's pist ....................YUP.........that is true!Devil

Just had to express an opinion re the NO SELECTION rules !
Report DFCIRONMAN • November 26, 2015 7:09 PM GMT
Every day GEORGE B. I never have much "confidence" that it is a "good" selection........DOES ANYBODY KNOW THEIR SELECTION IF LIKELY TO WIN?

Sorry GEORGE. B......have had quite a few !.......Still believe T2R is a major danger re YEARLY NAPS table as many are below him/she.....

GL in run in.......Cool
Report salmon spray • November 26, 2015 7:12 PM GMT
I KNOW a majority of my selections will win.
Incidentally I don't really like the present rule either. I think it should be for hols and other enforced absences only but there was a vote and that was decided. I always put no selection if I am not picking to help Shane. A lot don't bother.
Report china castle • November 26, 2015 7:16 PM GMT
Its not an ideal situation DFC , but there seems to be no better solution when people are on holiday and can't post.

Its far better than the LRF farce , where people were getting winners for not being bothered to post. One week I think we had 4/1 and 9/2 winning favourites of the last race on successive days Crazy
Report GEORGE.B • November 26, 2015 7:16 PM GMT
Well as I'm not playing for it, I'll just wish you and T2R the best of luck in the annual league!
Report china castle • November 26, 2015 7:17 PM GMT

Report DFCIRONMAN • November 26, 2015 7:18 PM GMT
Understand you and GEORGE letting controller know you will not be posting a "guess"................aand it is within the rules.....just think it encourages not aiming to be "best" for the YEAR month etc etc

Had a few though   so GL SS on run in to top napster for YEAR as I know you wish to be that as many do,,,,

Report DFCIRONMAN • November 26, 2015 8:41 PM GMT
How many of us competing can have 60 days holiday/cannae be bothered days in a year?

Surely there should be a LIMIT to such "no selection " days !

It is "reasonable" that say , over the year, that say 30 PASS days are ok,,,,60 is excessive IMO.....though I admit I've no idea if anyone maximises 60 for a yearMischief....Would be interesting to see which competitors get 60 days PA.
Report soldieroffortune • November 26, 2015 8:43 PM GMT
shane, with respect, if he doesn't like the rules he knows where the door is.
Report DFCIRONMAN • November 26, 2015 9:27 PM GMT
I don't break the rules.....just querying why so many can't be arsed to post a nap and are happy being relatively mediocre re how they fare on BF....

"Strike-rate" is pretty meaningless ...............though some here believe it is a sign they are any good at naps. You might end up top by end of year .............but strong doubts if you mainly select short odds ones.

If you believe you will reach the top of naps table based on a super duper strike rate............then good luck to you SOF........you know where the door is as well if you can't compete ....even with numerous "holidays " taken.
