So near, yet oh so far! Just one winner on the final day, in the last race to be selected. Some winner too. Ivors Involvement  at a grandiose 12/1 shot The Lord BUSH up eight spots to ... seventh! Just 22p short of promotion! Hard luck your lordship, but a great nap all the same. In a sense it was a good thing you didn't get promoted or we'd never have heard the last from alleged22's stand-in salmon spray, who posted this morning "Bound to get done by some lucky **** with a 25-1 shot ". You almost ranked as a prophet there ss!

I use templates for my announcements and the one I used for the championship announcement was from October of last year. Guess who was champion that month? hong kong fooey, who has done it again! Let's hope he manages to stay up a bit longer this time around. Just the five winners in the month: 11/4, 4/1, 8/1, 9/1 and, of course, the mid-month stonker that really sealed the deal at 25/1. Super performance, a very worthy champion.

But some good napsters follow him up: de44ek4, who is no stranger to the upper echelons, with seven winners, including two at 8/1 and and 11/1;  The fat Controller with six winners including an 8/1 and 11/1; i_agree_with_nick, who rallied late on with three winners in five days, including a 9/1; lmlac, who had just four winners including a 10/1, but ran out of steam in the second half; and of course alleged22, with the help of his fishy sidekick, who just sneaked it with a couple of winners in the last three days. Very well done to you all. Hope you show 'em what's what upstairs.

Commiserations to the rest who didn't make it, despite some great efforts. Hope you all are ready for another month of pin-sticking!

Nice to see my mate winning the league looks like this holiday has cost me a lot more than I anticipated great total HKF.
