Great to see some old faces returning to the bosom of great napping, both from above and outside. Welcome one and all to a new month. And if today is anything to go by, it looks like being another great one. Seems we just picked up where we left off in April.

Hitting the deck running was NEW KID IN TOWN with an 11/1 whopperoonie, Blood Cotil  (keeping wanting to type clotil!) to shoot him straight to numero uno.

Last month's wooden spoonist has awoken! de44ek4, who ended last month propping up the div, has got off to a flying start with a wholesome 8/1 on Mallards In Flight   - I noticed a sudden rush of money for that before the off, possibly deekers loading all his squillions on it! Even SkintofGreatYarmouth is off to a cracker, after idling in mid-to-low div last month. He napped Marie Des Anges  at 6/1 to sit in third.

It's always great to see raspberrybottom among our number as I know he'll crack in some good uns, and he duly obliged on day one with Go Nani Go  at 4/1. Goodness, you'd think he couldn't wait to get back up among the nobs. Can't think why!

Coming in behind them were midnight special on an 85/40, never give up on 6/4, and alleged22, khyber kim, posy and motseel on odds-ons. Our moty went for the most obvious winner of the day at the skinniest price. Why am I not surprised!
