W/D Pedro...a deserved winner - that 'pin' must be very sharp as I haven't got a clue HOW Just A Par could've won that race, but more telling, why he was ONLY 14/1.

Winner........pedro39 - First time I can remember anyone holding both Flat & NH versions titles, brilliant performance highlighted with the 33/1 Red Rum winner and top 'n' tailing with the first and last comp race winners, Caid Du Berlais and Just A Par!!! GrinGrinGrin



Runner-up.......bluenose7 - Big points in the Topham, Boilesports Hurdle and Welsh National, great total to finish ahead of all but pedro! GrinGrin


3rd.........Aquarius - Last year's winner putting up another fantastic effort, highlight was 33/1 Darna in the Festival Plate! Grin


4th........Fastbearform - Had a strong finish to the comp with the Grand Annual and Grand National winners, a Grand 4th place, well done!

5th........Earl.E.Byrd - Led early on with Hennessy and Caviar Gold Cup success, kept on for a superb 5th overall.

6th.......sixtwosix - Had to be sixth? Great work in the Becher and Heroes Hurdle amongst a solid performance throughout.

7th.......haplessamateur - Far from hapless, several high scoring efforts to finish a very professional 7th.

8th........petemac - Very good scoring and will be delighted to finish ahead of a couple here

9th.......old applejack - Had a top ten finish last year too, great effort again.

10th......THE MUFF FUFFLER - Joins the top ten with last race points added to last week's Scottish National success.

Well done everyone it was a high standard competition, very close run until pedro39 powered clear.

See you next time hopefully, but please turn up earlier than usual, I'm aiming to start at Chepstow's October meeting, race quality permitting.

Congratulations to Pedro on an outstanding performance, you might have thought he would let up a bit having won the flat competition, but no, he wanted to show that all types of racing are easy if you put the work in. Maybe we should have a selling race competition to see if he is a master of low grade racing as well!
Once again many thanks to Undecided, without whom, this and numerous other competitions would probably not see the light of day. Your efforts are much appreciated.
